Just watch Daily Lives of Highschool Boys, it makes Nichijou looks like monkeys in a zoo.

Does it matter what you call it?
Getting involved with a teenage girl that you've raised since she was a little girl is creepy/disturbing no matter the term you use.

Nah man, that's a perfectly normal plot point in lots of old literature!

Man, pizzaroll! At least explain yourself a little...

In my opinion, the internal structure of a competent studio isn't something you can replicate through funding alone. Talent isn't enough, so the management (and nurture) of that talent is essential. With the type of time constraints and stressful situations to endure in that kind of industry, a tight supervision is only capable with experienced people ready to guide the teams. This among other things that would be characteristic of each working environment.

Look at you, explaining things in posts. That's far too reasonable for this forum.

New Prince of Tennis 5:
WHAT THE FUCK? Seriously, what the fuck? They cut out the best fucking match of all of them so they could add in some shitty filler? Yeah, fuck you IG. What a shitty adaptation. How do you ruin something so simple? Even DEEN could have handled this better.

Ugh, I had been looking forward to seeing
Sanada and Yukimura's glorious match
ever since the anime was announced, and they have it happen off screen? Screw you all. No one watch this shitty show. Just read the manga instead.

Another 4

Noooo! I liked
Mizuno the nurse! I had the feeling she would die since the start if the episode... and she did.

I know it had nothing to do with the quality of the final product, but it always bothers me when trailers aren't cut properly to their music. I mean, they get close at times, but it's clearly off.

It bothers me when trailer-makers won't stop using that song. It's a self-parody of EPIC TRAILER MUSAK at this point.

maybe

but I thought the last Shaft shows like Denpa, Madoka or Soredemo were well animated.

Parts of parts of those shows were well animated. But nearly all shows have 'spurts' of good animation at certain points, for example, a fight scene. The overall quality is usually a very different, by which I mean wildly inconsistent.

I wrote it in a bit of a hurry because class was about to end and I agree with you. I had planned to address jehxius' comments directly but before I even started my post morphed into a generalized defense of the visuals in Nise.

I will try to respond properly once I'm home. My phone is too slow and cunbersome for debate.

Well? I'm getting a beard waiting for this!

Bakemonogatari 5

In which

Araragi gropes an elementary schoolgirl

and

sometimes you just have to walk away

I still don't know how to deal with this show.

Like, it's neat that Araragi loves helping potential harem candidates people, but nothing happens in this show. Ever. And nothing happens in the art either. I'm glad we're done with this arc so I don't have to see the motion of those playground bars to give the impression that they're actually animating something.

I did like how they resolved the arc, though. It was smart and it developed Senjougahara and Araragi well. The second half of the episode is what I would have liked the show to be, instead of all the weird first breast-touching, and talking about nothing.

Continuing my "postapocalyptic Japan" thesis, I refuse to believe Araragi's mom exists until I see or hear her. Her being dead would explain why he finds it so awkward to be around the house on Mother's Day with his sisters trying to keep up this bizarre charade.

But that's the best part! Not the 'weird first breast-touching', the 'talking about nothing', just to be clear.

The manga's long running so how long is the anime going to be? long running or take the claymore/soul eater route of random rushed ending.

Lucky for me I didn't get to far in the manga before the anime was announced.
Well, they did 103 episodes for the D.Gray-man adaptation, though I don't know how they ended it. Most likely this won't be a 1 cour show.

D.Gray-man was in Shounen Jump at the time, so that isn't exactly uncommon. Hell, there are 9 ongoing ones airing now with 2 more potentially on the way.

Zetman on the other hand is a Seinen series which as far as I'm aware has never gotten a full adaptation, at least for long-running series. I hope I'm wrong because it's definitely solid with plenty of scenes that deserve to be animated, but it's probably only planned to be a 2 cour show, at least for now. Hopefully it does well since this seems to be one of the studios that will actually do long running shows what with Detective Conan and all.

When I say long-running, I mean like 100+ episodes airing alongside the ongoing manga.

I was SO CLOSE to having an example with Lupin III - but the manga had already finished by the time the relevant anime started airing (the second season was 155 episodes). Otherwise I think you're restricted to kid's shows, either of the Shounen Jump variety or family stuff.

Zetman's 16 volumes long so far, right? The X TV series got that far in 16 episodes, I'm sure they could do it with Zetman :p
