Now he really will have all that spare time watching anime instead of posting here.... wait won't that mean he's consuming large amounts of undiluted amounts of hnng!! :O

Yeah but he won't be able to let people know that he's hnnng'ing. Holding all the hnnngh's to yourself is dangerous stuff, like holding back a burp or popping a balloon.

cajunator was an idiot in that thread. When it comes to racism around here, you don't joke about that shit. That's what did tiff in too. Looks like there is going to be a lot less hnnnnghing in this thread, and I'm okay with that.
It's not creepy if they're older than me

You and I both know that's bullshit.

Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei 6

This image is as sensible as the episode was.
We got knowing everything, a world where everyone's personality gets a 180 and another world where everyone's voices changes every minute. So unpredictable.

Oh, cajun. You can't post about racism the same way you post about anime.

Speaking of hnnng

Usagi Drop 6

Good lord this show is cute. I've been avoiding talking about it, like I'm better than enjoying cuteness. But I'm not. This is a really cute show. And it's very well made. There are a lot of shots I like a lot in this episode, like the part where Kouki and Rin are running down that out-of-the-way shortcut. It reminded me a lot of parts of the suburb I lived in while I was in Japan.

I also love the way the show occasionally represents eyes/eyebrows/mouths with straight lines as a sort of comic shorthand. Can't post particular frames right now, but it fits in really well with the sort of watercolor aesthetic it has.

I'm loving the cute, and the show could finish its run by staying cute, but I really want to see more of Masako and Kouki's mom.

2 more excellent episodes. The show has been doing a good job of slowly raising the tension and mystery, while revealing just enough to keep me interested. Many shows fail at properly revealing new information to the characters and viewer by deliberately withholding it for extremely contrived reasons, but so far, Dennou Coil has avoided that trap. Isako's goals and motives are still mostly unknown, but it works - so far, she has no one she trusts enough to reveal it to, so it makes sense that we're left in the dark. At the same time, Haraken's subplot is drawing out more information about some of the bigger mysteries of the show so far, such as the
Kirabugs and Miss Michiko.
.

The character animation is still really good, but I'm wondering if the cyberwhales from that one promo art are ever going to show up. :(

This shit looks like the real deal, spring is going be amazing.

GITS 2 is really underrated; I don't get the hate it gets at all, the visuals and atmosphere are so HNNGGGGGG.

Most of the hate is just from the philosophical mumblings throughout I think. Maybe they didn't like all the scenery porn?

You're absolutely right about the atmosphere and visuals throughout- they're fantastic. I watching GITS2 last sandwiched between the original, SAC and Spriggin and it makes everything else around it look like crap visually. It's fantastic.

also.... the mansions scene is so friggin awesome

Wow, I'm gone for a little while and all sorts of political intrigue breaks loose here. All I know is I'm going to demand a recount once all is said and done.

MEGATON: new Saint Seiya TV anime announced... with YOSHIHIKO UMAKOSHI AS CHARACTER DESIGNER AND ANIMATION DIRECTOR

Director: Morio Hatano
Series Composition: Reiko Yoshida
Characters Design: Yoshihiko Umakoshi

It's starting in Spring. I'm hyped.

I get the feeling I'm obligated to watch this. Spring season is starting to look goddamned insane.

I solemnly swear I will not attempt to fill cajunator's shoes in his absence. That is his role, and I leave the chair empty until his return.

But I will still use the term "Hnnnng" or :cajun.

Manigoldo with dat brounen speech. Quite manly.

It amazes me just how much BETTER the gold saints in this are compared to the modern era. I haven't been disappointed by one yet. Manigoldo for example is a sympathetic prick that doesn't quite venture into unlikable asshole territory like his modern incarnation, Deathmask. His
death scene and spirit throwing the Pope helmet to Shion
was emotional as hell as was his back story.

Melody of Oblivion 10

Nothing says spooky like a bowling alley. Chentauro's secret was pretty damn cool too.

Yami 9

How am I only on episode 9? Meirin is adorable at least and Gargantua remains the worst kind of fabulous.

Ano Natsu 5

I'll say one thing. The writers are not fucking around.
There are no misunderstandings now... so time for full on angst mode!

So far, HeartCatch is following the magical girl monster of the week formula perfectly, but it does it well, and I've been promised it only gets better. There were a lot of very pulled back shots in this episode, though, with some awful drawing.

Anyway, Erika > Tsubomi

Saying that you were trolling never goes down well.

GAF does have a liberal bent (or as I like to think of it, the correct bent), but unless you're a raging asshole you (probably) aren't going to get culled for conservative views. see: ron paul fans still on gaf
