Winter Anime 2017 |OT| John Wick cleaning up KyoAni's mess

Started watching Chaika. On episode 8. I'm really enjoying this and wondering how the series only has a 7.47 on MAL.
You'll have fun with the 1st season. 2nd season was rushed as fuck resulting in an ending so awful it ruined the series for a lot of people, including myself, who liked it.

God, I love the first IBO ending song. Somehow reminds me of Cowboy Bebop, even though it's not even that close.

So far 8 episodes in. Great show!

The pace slows down for a bit in the middle, but I thought IBO was a pretty solid show over all.

I was sad when they eventually replaced the ending theme, but they bring it back for a specific scene in the second half of the season and it's fucking chilling.

Might actually be separate rating but either way it should be mentioned that season 2 is fairly weak and has a weirdly, insanely rushed ending while meandering beforehand.

The ending blows.

They run out of time in the second season which leads to a very rushed and unfulfilling ending. Ruined the show for a lot of people. Plus they end up creating an extremely over powered character in Fredricka and end up having to hilariously write her out of most scenes to keep any real tension going. The road up to that is good for the most part though. It's a guilty pleasure of mine, bought both seasons on BD.

Thats what they have said. Seems like a lot of work. And obviously wont completely sync given how strict MAL is. MAL doesn't have anime-inspired or korean titles for instance. And thats one thing I like about Kitsu, I can keep track of the korean comics I read for instance, none of which will get added to MAL.

I hope they do finish that soon, then. I don't have any anime-inspired or Korean titles on my list, so I think I'll be fine. I just want them to add the new Ai Mai Mi/the rest of the winter lineup to the site already...

She was pretty entertaining, as well as, annoying as hell (as with all chicks in this trope)

The last episode lol. Makes the season worth the watch just for this.

Time for something different before I start watching season 4.

Time for new OP? Nice.

Oreki you sly dog. Nice going. If it was me I would have probably done the same thing too.

Chitanda's and Oreki's reaction upon discovering Oreki might have peeked at her pictures were hilarious.

Satoshi's really going to lengths for the club, but Tani's really annoying. Shoo away, you side character.

I think Oreki's sister is secretly physic or something, with the way the Straw Millionaire trade is getting played out. Onee-san's too op. Please nerf.

New ending...and it's a pretty cute one too! Oh...so that's where names2hard4you got his profile picture from eh.

I can't wait until you get to the final episode and post impressions, so we can all
argue
about how great and/or $hity it was!

I miss Heavy Object.
I forgot about Heavy Object.

There's no way to forget it! As annoying as she was, she played the role perfectly, lol/

Welcome to NHK 2-11

My train of thought concerning Misaki is too long and my opinion changes after every episode. I really can't decide if she's an angel or the devil. Even if the answer should be apparent:
A bit of both?
Like, there's obviously something wrong with her. I'm trying to decide if she's a victim that tries to find support or she's really as manipulative as the show hints. For example, in episode 8, the one with the mother and the date, I got the impression that she was genuinely interested in it. And I love her "lectures" and how they turned out to be a (clumsily cute) red herring. I just can't believe she'd actually be bad, but on the other hand, that's like one of the major themes in the series, concerning conspiracies and betrayal...

Hitomi is also quite interesting. She seems really similar to Misaki and yet so different. They remind me of the archetype of cute/mature on Macross. However, unlike Misaki, she's not an enigma and her state is obvious and very sad. Her personality affected Sato a lot during their teen years so I'm curious how the current storyline will conclude and what that means for him now. Episode 11 ended on a particularly happy note (for everyone except Misaki..), but an event that happy, when it's still the middle, seems really ominous...

With Yamazaki, things are pretty clear though. He drags the show. It's okay to have a secondary character that the main character can open up with, but his personal drama, the eroges and his shitty attitude really ruin the show for me. I hope there are more to him and he gets redeemed or something, because I can't stand him. It's been a while since I've seen an anime character than I hate with such passion.

Anyway, so far so good. The first 3-4 episodes were kind of terrible, but since Misaki became the focus of the series, everything has been a lot better.

Another character aboard the SasuNaru train in canon.

Good conclusion to the Sasuke arc. Bring on the Shikamaru arc.

*snip-di-doo*

I hated all that eroge business, in part because it's infinitely boring and they needn't go so in depth about it. Almost dropped the show for it actually but fortunately I didn't.

I think you'll soon get to one of my favorite moments in the show and one of the best
desperate screams
performed by a voice actor.

Not sure what I just watched, but that was one hell of a punch to start things off. Also, that death on the train was great. This is going to be a stupid silly short, isn’t it?

Well it will be a fine and probably fun ride. Hopefully Makabe gets one or two male best friends. I wanted more of his past and transformation covered.

Chouchou's ED is nice, and I guess Tatsuya Katou is trying something different with the music, will keep watching.

Love the OP and ED for this show. (reminds me a lot of one of the later SAO ones) The episode felt a bit rushed as they pushed out the full plot as soon as they could. There was definitely some good comedy mixed into the character interactions (although the loli looking mother could go away) and it looks like it could be a fun show to follow each week. That ending was a surprise, lol; what a complete and total
bitch, lol
I'm on board for sure.
