its not a romcom. nor are there "misunderstandings" (you'd think there would be with some of the situations, but there really isn't). that is, assuming they don't radically change things from the manga

i wouldn't call it dark or anything. its just not fluffy and dumb i'd say. the stupid teen children act like stupid teen children acting like they know shit when they don't and the weird asshole adults act like weird asshole adults. you may end up hating some characters by how they act, so be wary of that

I posted this earlier, but again yes, Konosuba's off-kilter, "off-model" animation is the result of deliberate artistic decisions of character designer and chief animation director Koichi Kikuta. It is not the result of "DEEN" or laziness or incompetence or low budget or what have you. It's fine to not like the style Kikuta likes to use - I'm not always fond of it myself - but it's important to recognize that it is completely intentional.

Maybe the manga gods will celebrate BGBW's birthday by finally giving us the final chapters of the Etotama manga...it went in a completely different and even better direction then the anime.

Also, yeah this was alright. The "As you know" scene was bad, but the rest of the set up was alright. It helps that I like the main character. Otus is kind of an odd duck, quite reserved, but confrontational when he needs to be.

Thr direction in this episode was pretty cool. So erm, is Slay a mahou shounen? Is this show about friendship gattai henshin?! Also, they should have just subtitled it as "dragon puppy". Would be much funnier!

Well, at least Konosuba was damn good still, and Dragon Maid wasn't half bad. Could even be considered great compared to just how dry and generic most of this season feels.
