Thx.
Deepthroat said:Ah kk, thanks guys.
Just one more question, what have they done between 2097 and Pure?

I assume they also made (before being called "Studio Liverpool") Wip3out and Wip3out Special Edition. But I recall hearing something about a substantial number of people leaving the WipEout team after finishing 2097. Or maybe that was between the 1st and 2097?

WOWowowow.. best wipeout intro ever!!!!!
no... BEST INTRO EVER. Cant wait...
You obviously don't know who you are talking to!You went crazy over THAT video?!?! You ARE just joking, right? Very nice CGI animation and design I agree, but to go crazy over that is like... *sigh, no further comment.
One can't help but wonder what would they do nowadays. It would have to be something different, probably starkly different, or otherwise their presence wouldn't quite be justified.Looks nice but personally, I still wish DR helmed the AD.

Let's wait and see the main game.
Yeah, even in this video, for 2D overlays they use a lot of those little rotating tinkers, tiny moving gauges and other such stuff that does look dated. But they mix it with some really cool looking stuff. Maybe they are basing the whole design around this - remember that the game is supposed to be the 'back to the roots' of Wipeout.but the current design is a little...well, cheap-tech and certainly dated.
Why don't you visit their site www.psygnosis.com ;-)Deepthroat said:I have aways wondered this but I've been too afraid to ask. So here it comes! What happened to Psygnosis? Did they change name or something? I remember playing Wipeout 2097 as a kid and I loved the game. Are they developing this?

Not really much people left. Most of them are still at Studio Liverpool. And the funny thing is, a big part of the Wipeout-team are german ;-)ManaByte said:The people who left the WipEout team formed Curly Monsters and made NGEN Racing on the PSX and Quantum Redshift on the Xbox.

CurlySaysX said:Of course i went crazy for it, it's a new WipE'out. The Pure intro is very nice. It's similar to the intro for the first wipeout, it's about re-creation and not about destruction like all other wipeout intros since 2097, and that white ship is stunning I hope it's an unlockable.
The Design isn't too bad either, I thikn they are trying to recapture that 2097 feel and adding a bit of Wo3 and IMO they have done a marvelous job at it doing so.
The wait will be painfully long.

Shinobi said:I check Cold Storage's forum every so often to see if he's contributing any music for Wipeout Pure...so far there's no indication that he has or will, though he did say he had talked to SCEE about it.

Some pretty cool discussions on that forum regardless for those who liked his music...plus you can grab MP3's for seemingly everything he's done on the gaming front. He's also working on an album that he's hoping to release in the next month or two.

Kiriku said:Wow, thanks for the link Shinobi! But one thing I'm curious about...I always thought Cold Storage was a name for the person who made the in-house music for WipEout games...rather than a free-lancing artist, I mean. And now he's making his own album? Did he go freelance now or something?
