Murmillo is good work if you can snare it.

You are kidding, yes? Ursula and Valens should probably be all you need in the way of medium fighters. Better to go for a Centurion or two (who will be absolutely brutal by the end game) or start the painful process of building up a channeler. Murmillo is almost totally worthless, IMO.
