Witcher 3 gameplay from YouTubers from CDPR event

Death March for me

MguasNV.jpg

Right there witcher bro.

DOn't know which difficulty i'll be playing, usually roll normal because i'm a wuss, but this series is so focused on Batman-like preparations, i'd like to experience it at its fullest.

Same here. On one hand, I want to go easy cause I'm afraid the combat's gonna be like TW2's. On the other hand, I want to go hard, just in case the difficult combat turns out to be enjoyable the same way the Souls games' difficult combat is enjoyable.

Either way, I'm sure you can change the difficulty level on the fly so maybe I'll just start with STORY AND SWORD

Wow, the trees and water looks so fake, and the facial animation is horrible. Those grass look copy and pasted as well. It looks like a PS2 game.

JUST KIDDING.

The game's looking great! That Gopher video is very informative. I'm liking the look of the Character and Monster Journals.

Dude, just admit it. The water looks terrible and so does the foliage. The hair looks like straw and character models are atrocious and move like robots. The voice acting, too, is abysmal. Oh, the combat also sucks, they should make it like Souls games for it not to suck. The game also has MAJOR framerate issues. It's time to admit nobody is getting the game they were promised.

Holy fuck.

Some people really are incapable of having a discussion on a forum without resorting to taking offense to it.

Get over your shit. People can be excited for something and not see it as the second coming.

It sounds silly to point out, but despite the deep talent trees, swords & melee is undoubtedly going to be the most optimal...as that's 90% of combat.

Of course there's still going to be a lot deviation from player to player, but it was pretty boring how the alchemy tree / talents were the least useful in The Witcher 2.

There's so many different types of monsters in this game i don't even know how people can survive in there with so few witchers.

I thought that was a satire post based on the nit-picking that's been going on in this thread. Especially with the "souls combat" bit.

Speak for yourself. It looks like I am gonna get the game I was promised, and more.

This is a sarcastic post and I am not understanding it because its on the internet right...right?

That's how I understood it. A continuance of this whole notion that people should only be excited for games, which is getting annoying.

It's a discussion forum, people can discuss the games. Stop trying to dismiss complaints because of stupid reasons.

Is death march permadeath?

You know, there been some confusion about that. At first they said it was going to be a separate "insane mode" like TW2. Then during the Jan preview event they said Dark mode would have Permadeath. Then the Gamestar guy said there was no permadeath on Dark. So, I dont know. If it is then I'm gonna go with Blood and Broken Bones.

Dunno man, you can drink potions anytime now and they get automatically refilled when you meditate (?), so I could see the alchemy tree being way better this time around.

At least I hope so cause it really was kind of worthless in TW2

AHHHHHHH #TeamYennefer

I admit I have a thing for redheads but yeah, man

Like

Damn

So now there isn't a journal where you can read about the world, the places, races, etc. ?.. yeah, I know that we can read books but in the past Witcher games where were entries into this things too and I always loved them..

But now it seems you have info only about the monsters and characters.. not happy

The message on this has been so confusing...Hope the mode is unlockable, will be a good summer challenge, after my first playthrough.

Nah, I'll just dismiss the stupid complaints.

Nice straw man, though. I've never said people can't have complaints. I have complaints. I simply think some of the complaints are ridiculous. Is that ok? Doesn't having the right to an opinion also include having the right to think another opinion is a load of bunk?

You're talking about The Witcher 2, right? I mean you obviously can't be talking about The Witcher 3 since you haven't played it for yourself yet, right?

Uh.. sure? Dismiss any complaints you want.

But it's not a good look when you debate certain complaints over the course of several pages with multiple people, then attempt to marginalize said complaints in a sarcastic post and then resort to calling them stupid complaints so you can dismiss them outright.

Allow me to hold an opinion, which is that such behavior is fucking stupid and not conductive to a discussion board.

Doesn't necessarily mean it will look like that. It is most likely downsampled, like all their official screenshots. You are going to need more than a 980 to get that at 60 fps.

Yeah, who knows what the end result will be on our individual machines. But that preview event was exclusively demoing on a single 980 and an i7.

Sorry about that, it was sarcasm. Just becoming tired of some of the more ridiculous nitpicks getting repeated by the same people ad nauseam.

Perhaps you should use the ignore feature so that the rest of us can partake in a somewhat meaningful discussion.

anyone knows of any video that explains the story about the first 2 games including characters an all?

EatChildren has a fantastic image that recaps the story:

Not really sure of a good recap video.
