Can someone tell me why that messy HUD is showing when he's just walking?
lmao @ Geralt's weather widget
- Light armor (Cat): is a best pick for skilled swordsman. It does bring lowest armor boost from all armor types, but brings increased damage and cricital damage for fast attacks. Best armor type for person who loves to be quick and deadly sword fighter.
- Medium armor (Gryphin): is useful for person which uses/specializes in signs. It boosts your vigor regeneration and signs intensivity.
- Heavy Armor (Bear): gives the most protection, gives damage boost for your strong/heavy attacks and gives you additional HP. Good choice for Alchemists who have good healing capabilities and doesn't have much critical chance, also it will be usefull for swordsmans who choose Strong Atttack skill line. At example Bear Armor is heavy armor.
Because the person playing has it set up to do so. Theres a shit ton of hud options so you can show as much or as little of it as you please.
You know a fantasy game has hit the right notes when you look at a village and say 'Yeah, I want to live there.'

Always on HUD is a gross idea. I get it, there's some options. It doesn't change the bizarre truth that they spent time making a widget that says in text what weather you see with your very own eyes.Yeah, Apparently this is hard to grasp for some...
Anyway, I'm holding off with watching more vids for now. Showing Ciri's gameplay is a fuck up and should be labelled as spoiler. Fortunately I've not seen it and I want to be surprised as often as possible while playing.
I know all the mechanics and visuals now so only things I'm interesting at this point is some PS4 footage and good reviews.
Inquisition had armors with hammer detail and other smithing details like various splitting marks in the metal. It's a nice change from more polished armors so I'm glad W3 has a lot of details like that.

I shouldn't be surprised, Inquisition is a very good looking game. I probably missed it because I was running it on low-medium for the most part, and no screenshots had it jump out at me.
For such a small touch, it adds a remarkable amount of character to the armour.

They put time into making a HUD that says too much, with an style that is lacking subtlety to avoid intrusion. Many have said so here, even in the Gopher videos, and it adds another bad layer to see images of what is either poor contextual/fading HUD elements that cause it to be on inappropriately or the baffling choice of someone to want an information overload when walking indoors.

Does anyone know if the Witcher's medallion plays a role in gameplay in Witcher 3? In the previous games it always signified monsters or magic, vibrating in the UI.
Some high res goodness:
We need to start an upgrade fund for you or somethin'?
I havent seen the medallion up top vibrating. However, someone did say that the medallion causes the controller to vibrate. No idea how that would be handled on KB/M.

Wonder if I can jump that fence and kill those sheep.
So apparently journalists and youtubers are going to get their review copies of the game next week .. this is info from one russian YT who is going to review the PS4 version

This is true, but only for those of us with debug units. Those without (with just regular PS4/XBOs) will have to wait until near launch.
That's just the way it goes...
Yes you can, guards may get pissed off tho so better do it at middle of night.
Has the Ciri gameplay been posted yet? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHNOLytV6hU
Those YT comments are... well, they are something
News update from Jesse Cox:
Update on Witcher stuff..Turns out the problem with Adobe is my HDD is near death. So I've saved everything, but I need to re-install and fix crap. What this means is the big edited video will take longer to get done. BUT, the good news is, I found a clip I want to show you, that's unedited and would be a great lead in to my "preview video". I'll get that for you for Fan Friday.

Not even Geralt can be the best at everything.

uhhh? It is a tree. Rather, a bunch of trees with a house in front.

Fortunately, I'm Witcher ready now. Couldn't resist playing a new Witcher day-1 on something more than a potato this time.
The days of 640*480 Witcherin' are over. Hold your tears; I only had to do it for one part of Witcher 2's prologue, and the pentultimate boss battle. It was glorious.

Xbone version?
also did they only turn on the hurrican stuff for demo purposes or will wind actually be always like that?
Xbone version?
Apparently weather, including strength of the wind, varies a lot throughout of the world and apparently most youtubers just got super heavy windy days in their games.
