Wolfenstein: The Old Blood announced ($20, standalone, PC/XB1/PS4)

Still shook about this apparently being a lengthy, 7-8+ hour experience similar to the last game. When they said two-part mission and that price, I was expecting a 1.5-2 hour expansion like Left Behind, which was totally worth its price. Now we got a whole new Wolfenstein game, a classic WW2 Wolfenstein game done by the best team to ever touch the franchise. Even Mick Gordon is coming back for a new soundtrack.

Thank you, based God

Very interested in this 'expansion'. The new Wolfenstein was quite fun so I can't wait to return to it.

I'm not one of those 'every game needs mp' guys
But would have liked if that was included with this

With that said, this is a day 1 cop, outside of Destiny, this was my favorite game of 2014, I'm counting down the days until release

Hoping the sound is mixed better though

The standalone companion game is one of my favorite recent trends. It saves budget for the studio, makes them more profit, provides more content than a thrown together DLC, and allows for less risky experimentation with mechanics than a full fledged sequel would.

This looks really good.

I've held off buying TNO until the price dropped but I'm picking it up this weekend (PS4 - £18 for the occupied edition brand new).

Just out of curiosity how heavily is the game story driven? I like my shooters very much plot/story heavy.

to be honest id imagine it is just going to be like 2 missions from the main game, i think 7 - 8 hours would be the completion time for all the collectibles etc.

im expecting about 3 hours tops for just straight up beating the game but compared to a lot of other DLC and the fact that it looks like a top notch effort, the bit with the sawn off made me chuckle ill gladly throw down £15 for this if only to just have my favorite shooter of 2014 continue just a little bit longer

The game is surprisingly story focused. Voice acting and characters are great.

It's pretty story heavy, it's safe to say that you'll like this if you like your shooters to have a narrative.

This are really, really good news, TNO was really fun and i can´t wait for this.
Also, great for putting out this stand alone expansions, hope more devs /publishers do the same

Great news. I was hoping any DLC/expansion would be standalone since I sold my copy for more than I paid for it.

Between this and the Brigmore Witches expansion, Bethesda lets their studios do some cool stuff in regards to DLC.

Mixed feelings. I'm excited about more Wolfenstein from MachineGames but I've been dying for a sequel to TNO after that ambiguous ending.

Still, day one purchase.

Haha. This news was a rollercoaster for me: First fuck yes, then fuck no only digitally, and then boxed too fuck yes!!!

Great news.

Is part two - The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs included in this or is this like Dishonored with two separate releases?

Since I haven't played TNO yet, would it be best to play this prequel before TNO?
If you're all about characters and story, I don't know if this prequel will have many ally characters, but the ones in the main game are awesome. The dual timeline made for great intimate interpersonal interactions.

You know what else is cool about this game

You can ADS if you want, but you can also hip fire with no penalty (unlike cod/bf/titanfall /destiny)
