Women seem to carry way too much stuff

I've kept a wallet in my back pocket for 20+ years. I've known one guy in real life who had a problem with a wallet in the back pocket. Actually, he hated things being in any pockets. No matter where we were, he'd take everything out of his pockets and place them down somewhere. I can't tell you how many times I'd have to drive him back because he left his keys or wallet or phone somewhere random.

I can't keep my wallet in my back pocket... it's uncomfortable and I don't like the feeling I get when I sit on my wallet...

Right side pocket is the only place I keep my wallet.

Yeah, I hate shit being in my pockets. A bag is so much better.

For what purpose? For the need of an impromptu shanking?
If such a need arises, you'll be glad you had it.

I have some friends that carry knives with them too. I don't know why, there are tool keychains that have tons of useful stuff including knives and whatnot.
If you need to do anything but slice a piece of tape or plastic loop, little shit knives are unwieldy, underpowered, and only good for accidentally cutting yourself.

I do not carry a purse, just my keys, my wallet (actually a business card holder), and my phone. But the trend of phones getting larger is a problem. When I upgrade my phone next I will have the issue of fitting it in my pockets. Not a issue for winter, but a big issue for the summer moths when I do not have a coat with me. Pockets on girl pants are so small, and skirts and dresses have no pockets what so ever.

Okay, currently in my with me at all times bag I have: purse/wallet, iphone, my glasses, a notebook and pen for doodling/writing lists, a hairclip, keys, cigarettes and lighter, some lip balm, perfume, pocket size mirror and (as somebody mentioned earlier in the thread) a little discrete case with 3 tampons in it (just in case!). The contents of this bag does not usually vary. Sometimes includes a book.

When I'm on my way to work I usually have a carrier bag with me, which contains my lunch and on Thursdays my knitting for the knitting club we set up recently at the office.

On the days I'm going to the gym I also have a backpack with my gym gear in...

So yeah, I could be considered one of those women who have multiple bags with them - all depends on what day of the week and time of day you catch me!

I always get shoulder bags with long straps so I can put it over my shoulder with the strap across the chest. I dunno how some girls take huge bags filled with junk with the strap/handle on the arm, looks so uncomfortable
Oh, and ALWAYS THIS - long strap across the chest = sooo much easier!

I have a co-worker like that. Then she had a kid and it got even worse. She went from carrying a purse and two bags with here at all times to a purse and 3-4 bags, plus the baby in the carrier. Her arms got ripped in the process.

We had a thread recently on here about "what do you carry around on a regular basis", so I showed off there how much stuff I regularly have on my person.

It's the whole "I might need this" mentality, which guys usually seem to not have. Guys are okay with just heading out with the bare necessities, and surviving from there. A woman's outlook is more about being prepared for what might come along.

When I go to work, I have a purse/personal bag, then a laptop/work bag, and then typically a smaller lunch bag - and that's with me having very light needs in terms of what I have to take back and forth from the office. Sure, it's a pain sometimes, but I'd rather have what I want should I want it, than not have it. And just walking out of the house with a bare minimum of things at this point almost panics me. *laughs*

Best luggage ever.

I tell the same thing to my co-worker. She carries around 3 bags and one day she almost lost one of the on the bus. I tell her to just buy one big bag or a travel suitcase.

Wallet + Keys + Smartphone

Wallet - NFC payments

Keys - NFC Unlock

What I sometimes do is have a larger backpack and put smaller bags inside of it :lol

Well i worry about her since she is much older (grandmother) but carries 2-3 handbags. If i see her at the trainstation i help her out when she is walking up and down the stairs. The time she almost lost one of her bags she told me she had 900 dollars in cash in it to bring to the bank. She only noticed it was missing when she was walking up the stairs and she ddn't feel so weighed down. Luckily the bus was parked at the station so she got her bag back.

Knife is a tool, I use it probably everyday. Cutting open boxes, and other mundane type tasks. You'd be surprised how useful a good blade is, and once you have one with you, its hard to go with out. I don't carry it for protection at all. If someone were stupid enough to try and attack me, I might pull it out to ward them off. If they were to try and attack my wife or son, they would get cut. But like I said, a knife .. my knife is a tool that I carry for everything other than harming humans.

When I'm with my girl it's nice that I ask for like a tissue or chapstick or something and shes' got it right in her bag. It's typical for girls to carry around a bag so why not load it with some shit you might need?

I don't use a wallet since it's too bulky in my pocket. I just use a money clip / credit card holder. Works great and is slim.

I tend to joke that my bag is an adult version of a diaper bag filled with toys. 3DS, Vita, drawing pad, writing supplies, first aid kit, phone, and sometimes my iPad. Oh, and mints. Never know when you might need one of those.

I've been saying this for years.

Wouldn't it be classier to just have like a little tampon case, like those old fashioned cigarette holsters? Maybe a small purse to go with it. Not like these twelve gallon monstrosities you see every day, big enough to abduct a child with.
"Tampon?"

"No thanks, I'm trying to quit."

I always carry my wallet on front right pocket, phone in front left. Wallet in back pocket has always irked me because sitting on it is uncomfortable.

I moved from a wallet to a card case recently. Works for me and I carried too much around when I had a true wallet.

Fits comfortably in my front jeans pocket or an interior jacket pocket.

I switched to one of these too, sometimes i freak out because i forget to take it out of the previous days pants :o. Taking time getting used to the weightless feel. I carry a license, $50-70 cash, 1credit card + metro card in it.

I like bringing lots of things out so I'm almost never without a bag unless I'm just going somewhere really near. I'm a guy but I don't care about the whole carrying a bag thing.

My bag usually contains my 3DS or PSP (sometimes both), a notebook or two, two to three books and magazines and sometimes 1 water bottle. There's also stuff like tissue paper and various small toiletries like floss, lip balm and contact lenses solution lol...
It's also good if i do some shopping and I can just dump my purchases into my bag.The wallet and phone goes in too. I don't use my pockets for carrying things in general.

I basically like bringing lots of things out. Even my female friends say it feels like I'm carry stones.

You will all be grateful one day when that coil of rope, granola bars, pepper spray, Advil, notebook, water, sewing kit and two flavors of chap stick come in handy. And on that day, I will be vindicated!

I don't actually carry a coil of rope.
Anymore...

I hate that shit cause whenever I'm sitting in a bus and a chick comes in with 3+ bags I gotta get up and be all gentleman and get up.

This is why I love winter coats. They seem to be the only women's clothing in which you can actually fit stuff in the damn pockets.

Why not just stuff everything into your ugg boots? I can fit everything into my cowboy boots, even my spurs when I'm not using them.

Do you have a link for this one? I need a new wallet and that one looks nice.

I don't understand girls that carry around huge bags/purses packed full of crap... I have a small purse. Wallet, phone, and keys. That's all I need. Occasionally I'll find a small toy or something my daughter threw in there.
