Wonder of The Sea made Titanic look tiny

Late at night during my Coast Guard years we could see cruise ships on the other side of the horizon lighting up the night sky, couldn’t see the ship only the light, until it slowly came over the horizon. Really cool! …They never knew we were there.

How much bigger can boats get?

A lot bigger. This cruise ship is impressive, but it's not the biggest ship ever built.

Supertankers can and have been bigger than this cruise ship, as well as having a higher gross tonnage and can carry exceptionally more weight.

a lot bigger. much much bigger.

the main thing holding them back is the size of docks. a lot of ships are already so big they can't get into docks so need to be anchored out far enough where the water is deep enough. passengers will be put on a ferry and be taken to the ship. that's more common when a ship is visiting a port and not many people will be coming and going. cruise ships can have thousands of passengers so it doesn't make much sense to ferry them all on/off at the main ports (southampton/new york in a transatlantic journey for example).

the titanic actually done this when she visited Cherbourg and Queenstown (now Cobh). This is what is happening during this scene in the movie:

from a physics point of view, there isn't really a limit to how big something can be and whether it can float. again the main reason is accessibility for ships. you could theoretically have a ship that is 5x or 10x the size of the one in OPs post. whether or not it can get into docks or near them is the problem.

Also note, on the Titanic the engine and other mechanic stuff was almost 1/2 of the ship. In a modern cruise ship, it's just 1/4 or even less.
and about 3/4 if you include the space required for coal and boilers. the prop shaft and engines were about 40%. from where the engines ended the coal bunkers and boilers went right up to where the bridge is.

you can call it a boat if you want but generally a boat is a small to medium sized craft that can fit on another and is used for travelling on rivers or inland waters. a ship is a large, usually commerical, vessel that is powered by multiple engines and is used to travel across seas and oceans.

if a vessel has lifeboats its likely a ship. if it doesnt its likely a boat.
200 feet increase with a ship released over a 100 years ago? Come on man. The Titanic can still hold some clout there were few like it at the time.

the only ship that could get near titanic in 1912 was her sister ship the Olympic who was roughly 1,000t less than Titanic. most people wouldnt know which ship was which at first glance though:

before Olympic and Titanic the biggest ship by GRT was the Mauretania which was just under 32,000t

Now i know western caribean tour part can be prone to pickpocketing around jamaica haiti cozumel and mexico

But 20 passenger gone /year? Kidnapping? Thats some serious shit ( if he has evidence to back up this claim)
I think it's more not coming back on ship due to some onshore shit or when you're out at sea and it's nightime you decide fuck this I've blown the savings at the casino that never closes so decide to take a swandive from the 14th floor and pancake when you hit the water and the boat sails on causes it's 3am and nobody seen it
