Christian Bale had to get buff from the machinist
Every single flavour of Chris in the MCU had to do the same
I could list male comic book characters all day where they had to get buff for roles and I'd only be limiting myself by only sticking to comic book roles.
Demi Moore had to get muscular for GI jane.
Emily Blunt had to put on muslce
Jennifer Beale for Blade 3.
I could go on and on. I don't expect everyone to look like Gina carano and I didn't expect Kristen Kreuk to develop leghs like Chun Li cos that would be ridiculous but I kinda expected Gal Gadot to put on muscle. Can I be blown away by her performance? Sure. Could she bring a lot of physicality to the role? Definitely. What I am saying is I just expected her to be bigger.
Same, having a colorful war setting would be REALLY weird.
It is more of a "she does not need to follow human modern standards of beauty because she is a warrior in an island of only women" =P
But it IS too much to ask hollywood to put someone outside those standards to play her.
So we just hope we see her decapitating someone in the movie and don't have that crap "sexism is actualy inverse sexism" scene from the animated movie =D

Jessica Biel? I know she's pretty much box office poison, but I would have loved her as WW.
edit: I also assume that as a model, Gadot may not want to put on extra muscle mass. I'm not against the issue either way. I do agree that other actors/actresses have done it when it fits the part and makes sense, but I'm also OK when the physical aspect of the actor/actress does not entirely fit the role (see: Cruise in Jack Reacher).

Yes it's not as though Ledger was an acclaimed actor coming off an Oscar nom or anything.
I would hope they would be smart enough not to pull that crap... in a period piece no less.

With the harsh color grading and "fwooom" sound inducing slow mo in one of those gifs, it really looks like it could have been directed by Zack Snyder even though it's not. :\

Agreed. Snyder's good at it. Does it for iconic imagery, and for the love of capturing panels.
Superman's flowing cape shot in the batmobile scene they keep showing off is excellent.

Didn't Gadot work out a ton in prep for Batman bin Suparman? She may not be the buffest around, but she put in work.

Ramping is objectively better than Shaky Cam and quick cuts when used to hide poor or slow execution of choreography.

Of course i do, just think it sucks. It's really weird seeing DC going this route as well as growing up Marvel was always considered the more grounded/gritty/colorless of the two.

As for the outfit, I believe the reasoning was that diplomats from paradise island wear the colors of the country they're visiting as a kind of show of good faith. Which is kind of funny now that I think of it. Imagine if every country on earth had that rule. Diplomacy would be so colorful!

Meh, we're used to the British (usually, in this case Israeli) invasion.

I find it extremely dumb we still haven't had a WW speaking scene yet. If reporters are to be believed, she is great in BvS.
