Thanks this worked! I got 7 days of free game time. No hassle either they gave it right away.
Does that seriously work? what did you tell them? i'll give it a try
I said I hadn't played since 2010 and I wanted to get a chance to get back into the swing of things but there wasn't a scroll of Resurrection anymore. I asked if there was any way to get a week free or a trial and he or she just gave it up.
Well I played all weekend and got myself to level 27. I mentioned a few days ago how I had just started and wanted some tips. A guild that seems to accept everyone asked me to join. When I finally came to a dungeon and realized I could barely face the level 23-25 enemies without dying by the second consecutive battle, a player in the guild who had played since around 2004 came to my aid after asking help in the Guild chat. He helped me through the first two dungeons and let me keep all loot. He logged off after the second dungeon since it was late. I'm glad to see a massive group have an actually GOOD community behind it. While I can tell a lot of WoW is full of vile, toxic players (judging by PvP and general feedback of WoW), I'm glad I was able to get assistance (albeit via overkill) when it came to trying to get through a rough section early and under prepared.
After that, I looked into pet battles and have found a very fun minigameto pass the time now. This game is crazy huge. I can see why there's so much of a liking behind it. I used to really dislike World of Warcraft until giving it another chance to try it. You wouldn't see what makes the game good from a starting zone or just questing. You really have to get into Stormwind or the more populated areas to really see why this game is so good. I regret not being part of this game for years.(meta game?)
Glad you gave it a shot, it is a fun deep game with plenty to do. make sure to pay it forward when you get higher level and more familiar with other new people that you come across

Dungeons are designed for 5 players in a group. Usually it's not a problem using the LFG tool because people are vastly overgeared with heirlooms and stomp through everything (teaching bad habits to new players). If you were struggling through them, I can only guess that you tried to enter and tackle them solo?
Yeah... I didn't know. ^_^'
out of curiosity what class are you playing?

Hmm. Currently the LFG/LFR doesn't work at all for me.
It puts me in the queue when I click it, but it doesn't tell me that, nor does the window pop up when the queue is ready, basically meaning I can't use it at all atm.
Tried disabling all addons, no luck.
Anyone had a similar problem?
Resubbed. My god the game has changed since 2007!
Started a Death Knight and got him to 61. Digging the high DPS, but jeez the Outland stuff is boring. I tried some Cataclysm questing on my Blood Elf Paladin as well, and that was crazy fast.
It seems Outland never got the "new" quest treatment from Blizzard in terms of XP and quest design. Anywhere else to get from 60 to 70?

I resubbed two weeks ago. (Last played back in Cataclysm.)
Went from 85 to 90 in 5 days just doing the outdoor solo quests.
Then I went to the Timeless Isle and picked up iLvl 469 gear laying around all over the island. Even the non-elite mobs were dropping those epic tokens. I thought the game was bugged or something. I have enough gear for my main AND any Alt I want, since MoP came with a free level 90 boost.
Spent the past week doing LFR and I'm half-way through the Seige or Orgrimmar with an average iLvl of 506.
Blizzard does a pretty good job of catching you up to everyone else.
I don't feel like I missed anything.
Yup, i don't know how to play anymore, i'm using my DK and just mashing keys.
Have you tried looking up your class spec guide on Icy-Veins.com?
Hello all I need some help. My realms are categorized by region (United States, Oceanic, Latin America, and Brazil) while my friend's is categorized by language (English, French, German, etc). I'm in the good ol' US of A and he's in Korea currently (serving in the air force he speaks 0 Korean).
He can't even see Mal'Ganis on his server list. Is there a reason for that? Can we play on the same server?
Yours is US and his is EU. That's how they're organized in those regions.
How can he switch regions?
Wow, that's awesome. The six other toons are already 85 with full rest xp. It takes me anywhere from 2-3 days to LVL from 85-90. I leveled most of them to 85 with full heirlooms during Cata. I'd like to save my wod 90 boost for something special.
If you guys just started, he might be able to contact support and see what they can do (I bought the wrong version type situation). But in general the EU and US systems are completely separate so there's no actual way to do that in general. It's like having a JP and US psn account, they're completely incompatible.
Does anyone think Blizz will offer character service discounts before WoD's release? I'm wanting to race change one of my characters, but am a bit hesitant wondering if discounts will happen in a couple of months time.
Goddamn, lvling 2 professions is tedious. How to not get bored?

I would wait considering the new models aren't in yet.

Haven't ever heard of anything like that. If it wouldn't destroy your ability to play, you can go to the game options on the Bnet launcher and reset user settings or run the repair tool. See if those fix it.
Queue for something while you grind it out. Turn your volume all the way up. When your queue pops you'll go from the gentle rustling SFX of crafting to 'DUH DUH DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH' and you'll jump out of your chair, roundhouse kick your computer out of the window all while screaming. Your day gets interesting from there.
