World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

LATAM voices are a mess anyway, like Blizzard didnt bothered to know who was voicing who and you can heard some NPCs sharing the same voices as the bosses.

Our guild managed to kill Heroic Xavius last night! A few weeks behind most people, but we're super happy. It was a much easier fight than Cenarius for some reason, lol.

Still no Legendary.

5 heroic clears, and I have not gotten the ursoc trinket.

I hate this game. HATEEEEEEEE

Just as I was complaining about how hard it was to get upgrades. Every week my Mythic+ caches have been utterly ridiculous, and this week continued the trend. The game really wants me to keep playing Enhancement, perfect roll.

grats. I got a 880 piece with haste/Vers.

A dps loss. yay

So I unlocked the recruit the celestials order hall perk thing on my monk.

I was thinking maybe they'd have a questline or something neat.

Instead its talk to this little starry dragon and recruit like any other expendable.

Whee~

My frst World boss loot, a pair of 860 haste/mastery boots. Now I got 825ilvl and I guess I can go do LFR.
Any Holy Paladin here who could tell me how much haste I should try to have before I go head first all into crit and mastery? I feel really bad with just 4%.

So, there is a secret boss in Gnomeregan. Has anyone tried that one yet? Seems to be pretty hard from what I've read so far.

Yeah, it sounds rough. The reddit poster describes all the boss's abilities dealing over a million damage a piece.

And the reward is a toy? (still gonna do it)

Grats. I wish I got some useful items from the Mythic+ caches but for now I hadn't used a single one.

I've been getting a lot of 860-870 gear with terrible stats lately and I just have to say fuck this piece of shit rng game.

850 socketed haste bracers out of my mythic chest. Then 860 socketed haste amulet from the world boss, along with 860 shoes.

855 now. Slowly getting there.

No legendary
Class hall gave same item

Yep still have the worst luck in GAF.

Chest gave my an 880 relic with a somewhat decent effect (+5% crit chance of SS during SB). Knocked me up by 0.5 item levels exactly... Fingers crossed for a relic today from Ursoc/Renferal.

I got a really weird-ass 875 tanking trinket out of my mythic chest. Can't link it here but it's called Coagulated Nightwell Residue and operates by generating charges as you attack, and lets you use it to put up a shield that eats the charges. So you can get a shield of about 300-400k every 20 seconds or a big shield of 1.3m if you save it up. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what it's good for, or if it's good at all. I also got an 860 version of Xavius' tank trinket and I already had the one from Dragons. I previously was using Ursoc's Rending Paw as my second tank trinket, obviously not optimal but now I guess I have a choice. Xavius' seems like a very small amount of consistent damage reduction whereas Nightwell Residue seems like it'd be great situationally.

For example last night I was subbing in as offtank and our MT kept getting gibbed by the big add on heroic Il'gynoth including on the kill. A combination of that trinket, purgatory and vampiric blood let me survive solo tanking that thing way longer than I probably should have.

It's funny how I had almost no trinket options 2 weeks ago (using warforged world quest trinkets) but now I basically have everything and need to pick and choose.

What with the SAG-AFTRA strike in a few days and Activision-Blizzard listed as one of the companies to strike against, I wonder how that may impact Blizzard in the future, if it goes on for long.

And with their voice acting getting so good, too.

They might need to find someone other than Jennifer Hale to voice female characters.

I feel like the VA in this expansion has been mostly decent with a few really great characters (Oculeth!) and some really bad ones (GIB UP DE AEGIS).

Karazhan at the time, and hell even many years later to me was some of Blizzard's best VA work. Especially Shade of Aran. Yet another reason I'm looking forward to next week.

Got an 870 waist with Crit/Mastery, which is good, even though I would have preferred Haste instead of Crit.
Also got Halls of Valor +5 stone. It's not like I got +4 last week and we did +7 of that this week. >_>

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
my box was just a 855 sidegrade cloak, because I only did a +3 this week.

on the other hand, last night I was trying to level my druid because I wanted to try resto, and got imediatly bored just doing the first artifact quest. But today I picked it up and am now 104 with val sharah and aszuna cleared (well, cleared enough for the pillar and friendly rep). I guess you just need to get over that initial "ugh another alt" hump

I hear that.

I did the world boss on two toons, nothing.
No legendary my guild's EN raid (both 7/7 Normal and 6/7 Heroic), yet two people got legendaries.
M+ Chest on two toons gave me trash/garbage. One of them in fact was the same item I had got from the M+ I had done of that dungeon, though it had Indestructible.

I think the dropoff for Legion is gonna be even steeper than the post-WoD dropoff

I hate to see it, but I can see it. Legion does some stuff, but a lot of stuff is completely backwards. The way loot is handled.. not liking it.

I don't like the fact that I can't look forward to loot anymore. If I do, all I can say is "whelp, it doesn't have a socket" or "it didn't thunderforge", etc etc.

I mean, on the other hand normal EN is almost 100% worthless for me but I still have to do it for the guild. Titanforge and legendary drops are only a good thing for me in that case as they're a tiny incentive in what would otherwise be nothing but 'just helping the guild'. I didn't feel like I was wasting my time. Likewise it's just another bonus on top of pushing mythic+ with my group, and it helps me feel competitive with mythic raiders even though my guild hasn't even dipped its toes into mythic EN yet.

I don't know what your personal case is - you're either clearing Mythic EN and are totally decked out or you're running stuff below your level and hoping for titanforge. I still don't see how this is objectively worse than previous loot systems even in that case, because you'd still be in the same rut only worse.

Decided to switch from Arms to Fury for my Warrior as I just find Fury much more enjoyable.

Problem is I've been playing arms this entire time and focusing on Mastery, which is a good stat for Fury, but Fury needs haste (apparently up to 50% per icy) and right now I have 17% lol

Did LFR as usual and got 1 drop. Did normal last night with a PUG and got a cloak but it was a negative on my haste, but a 35 point upgrade ilvl so I went with it. I feel like it's going to take forever to get haste upgrades.

It's probably worth checking out Warrior Discord for more up to date guides, I don't know how it is for Fury but the Enhancement Shaman guide on Icy Veins has quite a bit of outdated information.

The way I see it, anyone who is running something and explicitly hoping for a Titanforge drop as their gearing path is basically doing the entire thing wrong (or is ~880 and kind of SoL otherwise). It's pretty much a normal loot curve except possibilities for gaps to be closed due to rolling upwards rather than spots in the curve with expected bonus rolls needed. I outgear Normal and Heroic EN for the most part and do them because people to do them with but it's not like "oh, it didn't -forge, shit game" instead of "I can still maybe get something."

Sockets and stat spreads are a thing (why are there like 30 rings and seemingly all of them with crit), sure, but the ilvl rolls are entirely a bonus.

Edit: I am tired of trying to farm the Vengeance DH hidden appearance though. Not because it's effort to kill it every day but because I have 3+ pages of mail of the buff item drops I'll never use :(

At first look of the new ptr patch notes I was ready to riot, quit my main, and be so incredibly mad. Shadow priests nerfed 10% across the board, total blasphemy, complete bs. Then was reminded they're are adding shadow form back in which increases shadow damage by 10%, so these nerfs are just to even everything out. Crisis averted lol.

My other 110 is a dk and I like what I see, not sure if those buffs are enough, was hoping for 3 min sindaragosa instead of 5 as well. Also festering strike should be 3-4 imo, 2-4 is nuts. Nothing better than using 3 festering strikes to get 6 stacks and still can't apocalypse :(. No love for blood though, not sure how I feel about that.

Blood is weird

Their main mitigation is from an expensive rune spender. Their main rune power generator is an aoe attack.

They are wonky af. Really they should change their bone armor to like before, where theres an internal cooldown to how fast each stack of armor can be removed.

Blood gets much better once you get silly levels of gear but at that point it doesn't really matter. It will be interesting to see how good blood gets once you have very high Haste/Crit/Vers. Once blood actually has a good passive mitigation rate the damage it can do is much more consistent then the other tanks.

Curious is there a GAF WoW discord? I was thinking about setting up a mythic+ discord channel to help facilitate groups in the NA region (horde). I got a few gaffers on my friends list now but a shared chat channel for the specific purpose of mythic+ groups might be more effective.

Wat. They're adding shadowform back in? So we can actually toggle off our purple cloud form? Fuck. Finally.

None of the tanks have notes up yet. I doubt Blizzard are happy with all six specs, so will instead release news on them in a day or two.

I need to find a good guild that doesn't end with 'please don't apply if you're easily offended'

like that just throws up giant red flags of 'we have 13 year olds in our guild that like to say racist, homophobic shit. BUT YOURE EASILY OFFENDED' I guess I expect too much of the WoW community.

I feel exactly the same way. I'm just a social member in my current guild because my RL friends used to raid with them but there's nothing worth a shit in guild chat 99% of the time.

Ive found a decent guild but yeah its surprising how many guilds that I hopped around this patch are..offensive. I tend to not care, but I just want to raid instead of listening at peoples poor attempts at being funny.

I don't tank much on my DK anymore but it seems "fine" for dungeons, less so raid tanking (or at least, I feel like sustain-y when I was tanking EN vs dungeon stuff). Most the awkwardness in my opinion comes from Rune / RP generation needing to keep up with the rate they take damage and not just GCDs / cooldown timing keeping up with it.

I got a really weird-ass 875 tanking trinket out of my mythic chest. Can't link it here but it's called Coagulated Nightwell Residue and operates by generating charges as you attack, and lets you use it to put up a shield that eats the charges.

Meant to respond to this earlier but I have this on my DH and I quite like it. I can usually get 4-6 charges on a given dungeon pull in M+ so it acts as an on-demand ~33% health bubble every other pull and/or boss cooldown.

To put it in perspective, my other tank trinket of note is an 865 Phantasmal Echo and that's 30% DR until it takes like ~780k or so damage every 2 minutes.

Outlaw Rogue has been the most fun I've had with specs so far.

I played a little of my Warlock again after I got the hidden appearance and man. So fucking boring.

Up to 822 on my Pally after getting carried through a few Mythics by friends.

Tanking M Violet Hold at 792 ilvl gets a little dicey :p

it has an internal cooldown like you say, but it's short enough that dots on you can be annoying. It's not 'impossible' to keep up stacks when dotted like some will have you believe, at least not at my levels of haste and parry.

That's my other trinket as well. Between the two of those and the various DK shields I can absorb quite a bit. In normal EN it was funny how my HP bar essentially was not moving at all. Due to splitting AP with Unholy I don't even have the third gold trait which is another shield, no idea how effective.

Rune/RP generation just requires some haste. At 30% it feels fine even single target and only gets problematic with a dot on me. But it's not like you're going to lose aggro in a single target raid situation so who cares if you have to marrowrend more often.

I feel quite strong in heroic EN at this point but I'm above 870 now and haven't tanked heroic Cenarius or Xavius yet. As useless as Purgatory is in 5-man content it's great in raids, although man I wish it was more than 3 seconds...sometimes feels like it bugs out and I don't even get 3 seconds.

Mythic+ is another thing. Necrotic/Enrage really sucked last week and it's well documented how bad Necrotic in particular is for DK. But after clearing a +9 I realized a lot of people are sleeping on DK's kiting ability with Tightening Grasp, which puts a very strong snare on anything in your D&D. The only downsides are that it doesn't work on all mobs (hello Maw of Souls) and competes with Tremble Before Me (also very good, especially with my Sephuz ring). Faster cooldown on Grasp is great too as my 5 man group is either melee heavy or melee-only.

When you're tanking things that will instagib ANY tank it's nice to have kiting ability. My group was failing spectacularly at killing things properly in an Arcway+4 last night and I was able to kite heavily bolstered mobs that would have chewed up any tank in seconds.
