Whenever you get the proc(I dunno how it looks like) you want to hardcast Pyroblast. If you have Rune of Power, it might be worth putting it down.
If you have combustion up, Cast it near the end of the cast for ridiculous damage. I don't know if there's a visible sign that shows you that you got it though(Like hot streak puts up the little ( ) in the middle of the screen) but there is a weak auras for it-

Basically always hardcast it while you have the buff up. It would seem like a bad idea to hardcast Pyroblast, but for 300% extra damage, that's the equivalent of 3 Pyroblasts. If you combust with it, the mastery+Crit will be absolutely ridiculous.

Last week I got a titanforged Ettin's Fingernail from Drugon so I'm expecting my luck to have run out for at least a month on World Bosses

For enha you generally want mastery and haste. Resto is mastery/crit.

Yuppppp. Was pulling 2.6 million dps on an 8 mob trash pull in Kara last night when all my procs managed to go off at the same time.
Tried Frost (DK) for the first time last night. I've basically never used it before and was just going to fuck around in the normal raid for fun. The other two DKs did the same and had a similar experience to me - we all did better. I expected to drop it after a few fights and switch back to Unholy but I played it all the way through Heroic.
Ended up matching or exceeding my previous Unholy numbers on most fights, especially multi-target ones once I'd gotten some practice in. I beat my Xavius and Dragons performance last week by a decent margin.
My Unholy artifact is 26 at I think item level 893, Frost was 21-23 (leveled it mid-raid) and 881. My stats are still almost all crit/haste and from what I understand those aren't Frost optimal. I also had the wrong runeforges (razorice was on both, you apparently want crusader on offhand) for most of the night. I have a good legendary for Unholy (Uvanimor) and an okay one (Sephuz) whereas Frost doesn't even have a way to proc Sephuz on immune targets. It's nuts that I should be able to keep up let alone beat my old numbers, and annoying because now I feel like I should start investing into Frost - I'm already maintaining my Blood spec for 5-mans and splitting AP/relics 3 ways will suck.
We're doing Mythic Nythendra on Sunday and if I get into the raid I'll still run Unholy, especially since I got some nice crit/haste drops and it should easily pull ahead of Frost on a pure single target fight like that (especially with my karazhan crit trinket). But Frost is really, really strong and easy to play. I may start running mythic+ in Frost loot spec but Legendaries are a real downer when you can't choose one spec.

Generally pet battling is much like Pokemon battling: you either need a team of overpowered assholes, or a gimmick.

You'll want to prioritize Haste to 20%, then Crit to 25%, then dump everything else into Versatility. Since the update, a lot of sim-folks have been crunching the numbers, and that looks like the sweet spot.
Getting the frost legendary wrist or belt leads to about a 10% increase in overall damage.
It's crazy stupid amounts of fun, imo. Less micro-management and praying for a decent swing of festering strike than Unholy, but you're back to being runestarved at times.
Yeh since the last patch I've noticed I'm actually competitive on the DPS charts.
Especially on multiple target encounters, as you said, Frost DK's are beasts.

Gladly single target encounters are now at a respectable level as well!
Which is why seal of necrofantasia is pretty good for me as my first leg at the moment.
I think I can manage those stats. The problem is that haste/versatility gear actually doesn't exist in EN, and I frequently gave away most of my vers gear to other people in our mythic+ groups. I still have some options as I keep a lot of gear and can probably swing those stats (although I end up with more Mastery than I'd like).
My Unholy set is 39% crit/21% haste on single target fights thanks to the Kara trinket to give you an idea of how much I've gone after that stat. I like crit a LOT for Blood in 5-man content.
Anyways I'm not married to Unholy. I only played it out of necessity. It's fun enough but I was actually a Frost DK back when they were first added - granted, it was 2H tanking Frost that bears no resemblance to the class now.
I only fell into the rune starved rut a couple times during bosses. I dunno if I'm using Remorseless Winter correctly (don't have the third gold artifact trait yet) so misuse of that could have caused it.

Fucking hell. This might not be as big of an issue (still an issue, just not as major of one) if you could have the app open while in game, but it counts as having the character logged in so NOPE. UGGGGGH.

Ugh. This was a bug when the game launched and we had to use wowhead's map to actually see quests that were there. Then it was fixed. And in typical 7.1 stlye, it's broken again.
Legiondary envy is real.
It's easy for someone who has a good one to say "don't worry about it, it will happen." And maybe it will, but it's definitely going to be when you least expect it. Anecdotally, they seem to drop most often in raids.
Who to choose..both sound like lamers.
