World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

I saw a Tauren priest in a Timewalking dungeon earlier this week, and I healed a Tauren brewmaster monk in one, as well. Felt like I hit the jackpot.

I have a dwarf warlock but I can't really get into the warlocks despite many attempts over the years.

I'd argue that blood elf>UD when it comes to being edgelord.

Definitely, and especially the combination of blood elf and demon hunter. There's really no beating that on the edgelord spectrum in-game right now. DH takes it to another level. I didn't think anything would ever top blood elf DKs but they seem downright tame in comparison.

I'm curious about trying out Arms for a time, but I have a question. I'm toying with it right now and as far as I can tell, there's no actual rage generating ability besides charge, right? Coming from Fury, that feels a bit weird, though as I just auto-attack this dummy I notice that I generate a helluva lot more rage so I guess that's probably it, huh?

(I haven't played Arms in...probably ever, so forgive my newbishness)

blood elves are just beautiful man

and I can't see a tauren being a demon hunter..

Blood elves are my least favorite horde race by far personally. Females have those tiny weapons and that slanted posture, but are generally ok, though everything is very tiny on them so many sets just look bad. But males are awful. The way shoulder armor pops slightly up on their left shoulder infuriates me, you can kind of see under the model into the black untextured part. And that "behind the back pass attack" 2H animation they do is super lame, though the new melee animations mostly fixed that. Not a fan of the wiggly fingers heal animation they have either.

Yea, arms is just rage gen through auto attacks, but it doesn't really end up feeling like too much of a limiter. Plus Colossus Smash has no cost. As long as you take the "during battle cry abilities cost no rage" talent, rage has never been an issue for me as arms. The rotation definitely feels a little weird though with how Focused Rage works, and how it has changed since legion launched.

I'll be honest and say I'm not a fan of how focused rage plays. The whole speck just feels really dependent on procs, if you get them you're a wrecking ball but if you don't you kinda suck. Like, even on a bad night where I can't give a crap I pull about 220k.

Safe to say... Blood Elf race contributed to the massive faction imbalance in WoW today.

I've been thinking of playing a priest lately and finally made one this week. Naturally I made a tauren because a tauren wearing cloth is just dumb. I did a random dungeon yesterday and there was another tauren priest in the group.

For sure. UD can be quite comical, and it's no surprise the one truly edgelord forsaken is an elf.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
For max edgelord it has to be a forsaken elf, which is a skin color exclusive to Death Knights.

The ubermensch of edgelords would be an undead elf who joins the Illidari and wields the full spectrum of edge.

Got my white Falcosaur mount yesterday. Yay. Neat content. Finally put some time into pet battles. Some really weird bugs of course. Mostly working in my favour, but I'm surprised how little Blizzard tends to fix after a patch is out.

Still not completely tired of Legion. Kinda want to boost up an alt. Need some range combat to mix up my Monk play, but can't decide between Hunter and Mage. The world needs more Gnome Hunters, but on the other side I really want that sheep stick.

Does anyone know if Blizzard has ever talked about expanding some more the hunter pet stable? I'm at the point where I only have two slots left open to store my pets. Basically I need to start discarding pets if I want to go and catch some of the new mechanical ones (I completed my spirit beasts collection at least).

I'd go gnome hunter because gnomes are awesome and I find hunters more than mages nowadays.

As a mainly horde player, I'll say that the only faction imbalance I experience is the massive amount of Alliance players always surrounding me. All my WoW life, on every WoW server I've played, be it US or EU, there have always been more Alliance players than Horde. Even today, with their connected realms, every single world quests where there is movement means I have to fight for every spawn as quickly as possible otherwise they all turn grey.

This is because people pick their class and race depending with if they fit or not. For example no shit nobody is playing goblin warrior because when you see a goblin you don't think of a great warrior who is going to wield huge 2 handed swords or a tower shield but goblins would make an excellent rogue. Same with dwarves, dwarves in every medium rarely ever have magic affinity if you see a dwarf you think of a warrior or a hunter with a gun you don't think of a mage.

I mostly play small races since they don't block out shit on the ground beneath you. My Tauren Druid I hated during Firelands when they took away tree form because with huge shoulders and head they would visually block out harmful raid mechanics when your camera is pulled back. Tree form was svelte enough that this was never an issue. It is hard enough to see with the horrible red on red on red colors that plague EN. Big characters in indoor dungeons like deadmines were always problematic with the camera freaking out as well. My character could be a stick man or a dot on the screen for all I care. As long as it doesn't block my view.

They said they were going to make WoW Tokens into something you can either redeem for game time or for a certain amount of Battle.net balance that you can use for their other services. No time table as to when though.

I seem to recall them saying sooner rather than later. I have a feeling it's something that would hit in 7.2 or 7.2.5 or something.

Thank you.

Question for fellow Outlaws - What exactly does Blurred Time do? It reads "During Adrenaline Rush, your ability cooldowns recover 15% faster.", but I'm not sure which cooldowns are affected and if/how it interacts with True Bearing

First time trying out a Paladin since holy combo points were introduced.

I remember hating it because it had a really awful maintenance buff.

Seems better now, though the rotation is a bit lean.

Animations are very much improved, not as good as ENH Shamans, but still nice.

Curious Coins had the potential to be a cool system, but the droprate is woefully undertuned.

Yeah that system is absolutely bizarre. Across four 110s I've collected all of four, and only two on my main.

edit: Also thanks for the info about arms warriors and rage. I'm fairly happy with fury all told though I do hate the whole "take increased damage while enraged" thing, and was just thinking of maybe trying arms for a while. But the idea of swinging two giant two-handers appeals to me too much.

That's really low, I've got 14 coins on my main. What sort of content do you do?

Heroics, LFR, mythic dungeons on occasion. Heard they drop better there, so I'm guessing that's it for you?

I'm not focusing hard on it anyway. Its just something I noticed. Oh and got one from an emissary cache, I recall.

Yeah, probably the mythic dungeons. Though I only go to them fort quests nowadays as their drops aren't relevant for me without huge TF rolls.

RNG gonna RNG. My raiding main that's probably done ~3x as many total mtyhic+ dungeons as my DK alt has 4, and the DK alt has 15. I guess by the end of the expansion I might have enough for a thing, heh. But no rush.

Yeah it's a tough fight. ToV is pretty nicely tuned for normal. My guild has done H EN, and we managed to clear N ToV which seemed nicely challenging. Heroic though was... not good.

Or has 'Kirin Tor' not popped up as an emissary quest...these past 2 weeks?

from one of the blizzcon or post-blizzcon things:

Kirin Tor Quests
  • Kirin Tor quests were adjusted to be slightly less common. They just haven't popped recently.
  • They were popping up twice in a given week, which felt too frequent.
  • These are quirky non-traditional content.
  • If they continue to not appear the team will bump back up the rate. The goal is twice every three weeks or so.

Finally got in to tank LFR tonight, so disappointing to find that it drops 835 gear! I know LFR is ezmode, but 835 means you do it once for novelty and then just get better gear from 10 minutes of world quests ... what's the point :(

Been tough to find a group to do a normal with, I guess I'll try and work my way up some keystones instead, and I guess Kara.

The gear treadmill just seems a bit out of whack right now to me, it doesn't seem to be worthwhile to do tiers of difficulty "in order", instead it seems you are encouraged to "skip" 1-2 tiers...

I don't know why, but I find it harder to choose a race to play as than I do when it comes to choosing a class. I've spent a lot more time just kind of looking at the race and crossing different options off. I already know I'm going to be a caster, but I still can't choose a race for some odd reason. I don't "specifically prefer" Alliance or Horde. It's more about the way my character will look in gear tbh. (I usually spend like 5-10 mins a day looking at the transmog subreddit)

What are your fav race/class combos for looks?

Favorite:
Male Tauren Paladin - imposing, screams leadership
Female UD Cloth - best casting animation

Dislike:
Male Pandaren SPriest - dark aura on Jack Black
Male Undead Hunter - WTF

Alliance side I stick with Human females for most classes, NE females are runner up. Female Night Elf Hunter > * thought.

Orc Female for Enhance Shaman or Warrior.

Female blood elf animation for almost every weapon type is soooo bad. The way the shoot a bow is just painful to watch, that stupid spin they do with 2h weapons is equally cringe worthy. Just terrible as hell.

FBEs just simply swing their weapons at much no? unlike tauren or orcs who looks pretty damm good

While the female Belf model is aesthetically pleasing, they're so slight. You can hardly making out the detail on some of the armor. Their weapons are comically undersized for Warcraft's aesthetic as well.

My F Pandaren gets a nice bit of heft without being a hunchback or having to go through clipping issues. The only negative about the model is the head. Most headgear looks awful on female pandarens because they're so squashed.

Random question, but speaking of appearances, does anyone know of an addon that allows me to search for an item name and then link that item/try it on in the dressing room? Atlasloot used to allow this but it no longer has a search feature as far as I can tell. Mostly would be used for things that aren't already in the appearance tab (since you can search that) or to try on armor/weapons my current race/class can't use (also can't do that easily with appearance tab).

it's really not that many mechanics if you take it phase by phase

not to say it isn't a hard fight. cuz it is

Looking for suggestions, then. We're getting the tentacles down on one pillar, moving to the other, getting those down, and then get killed by the repeated sea waves in the center.

what order are you killing tentacles? you can typically tank some waves but you shouldnt be tanking so many waves that you die.

Right pillar (facing Helya), then to opposite pillar, then to center back.

I think the part we're messing up on, honestly, is putting the small adds in a place to obliterate them.
