Worms DS screens

I question Team 17's technical know-how. After seeing their glitchy console disasters of late, and their "My First 3D Model" looking Worms 3D stuff, I wouldn't be surprised if getting this stuff to work online would be too much of a technical challenge.

Team 17 is saying that the games don't do internet/infrastructure online because it isn't in the publisher's (THQ) spec.

If its online ill pick it up.... Hell Im picking up all the online Games :D

I only ever played Worms on Sega systems~ (SS & DC) and for the DC version they did online just fine. Gawd I loved playing that until a rotten baby broke my disc. ;_; I dunno about getting a handheld version since it might feel cramped but it looks nice so far.

So either THQ is completely lame for not recognizing the impact online play would have on this game's sales, or Team 17 is pointing fingers to cover its ass and make a deadline.

Probably the former. If it's not online, it's definitely not getting my $30. I'll wait for Worms DS 1.5.

if its online, and works well, im sold. if not i turn my nose up at this one.

Plus, I can't imagine Worms being a tricky title to get online, even if it is in a handheld environment.

ha! never played the DC version huh?

awesome game, shitty shitty shitty network code (or servers or whatever the problem was). crap that would have been one of my most played games if it was atually playable online without disconnecting. only lasted a few weeks before i couldnt stand it anymore.

I never did play the DC version...how disappointing!

I really like Worms, and I am definitely going to own a DS in the future, but I really can't see paying much for the game when it so obviously should have online.

At first, I agreed with you. But after the latest fiasco, I'm starting to question their competence.

Not Online = Not Sold

Fuck 'dis shit.. I don't want any more DS games a la Bomberman, Puyo, Worms, etc until they start putting in the damn MP...

And I sure as hell ain't gonna buy it twice when they decide to do the inevitable "**** Online!" milk-release.

it was sad. such a fun game, ruined.

nice avatar change btw. funny. :)

I tried Worms once... it felt vastly inferior to Scorched Earth. However, I never really took the time to find out if I was right or wrong about that.

What do you guys think? How does Worms compare to Scorched Earth?

(Awaits the inevitable "WHAT IZ SKORCHED URTH?" question from a junior member.)
