They will have something. Let MS release the console along with the launch titles and then wait to see what they are going to say about future games in the upcoming year. You're trying to look too far ahead.
I bought a great, brand new, game for the Atari 2600 recently. I'm not being facetious.
What the fuck does that have to do with whether there are also newer generations of systems? Not a goddamn thing. Is it any reason to not buy new systems? Of course not, but haters will always rationalize.
Xbox 360 must have really pissed in a lot of people's Wheaties. Nah, just GAFFERS.
The hell? Where exactly in my post did I say, "XBUX 360 SUX, BUY A PS2 AND GC!"? Oh, that's right, nowhere. But hey, way to jump to huge conclusions and act like a complete jackass.
The poster said he already has a 360 preordered, but he's concerned about the inevitable post-launch drought that happens with practically every new hardware release. So I said buy a PS2 or GC game to pass the time since they still have games coming out. It's not hard, people.
You could use the money you paid for whatever bundle was forced on you to help victims of any one of the numerous natural disasters that occured this year.
There have been quite a few couple threads on the board recently where I have to fight the urge to reply with, "you people don't think anything you don't post huh?".
Splinter Cell 4
Gears of War
Prey
Dead Rising
Alan Wake
The Darkness
Ghost Recon: AW
Full Auto
Too Human
The Godfather
Lost Odyssey
Mass Effect
Crackdown
It doesn't look like the Xbox 360 is going to have as bad of a dry spell as the PSP had in it's first year, but you never know when games are actually going to be released.
Preach it brotha!!! Gawd, I've been like totally freaking out about this - I've even lost hours of sleep!!! I mean, Kameo looks pretty sweet and PD0 should be the shizzle dizzle but are they gonna pull a Nintendo on us?! 360 is gonna be tight though. I'm looking forward to this though, wiggers on billboards:
It's this mentality that dooms you. Why do you need to game at the pace of others? So you can discuss what's new and cool here in the forum, or with your friends?
Because I want to be a part of the launch. Like all the GTA launches and things like that. I mean, how cool is it to play a GTA the launch day when people have been hyping it up, and you finally get your chance to play it? Any other games for that matter.
Right, but because of that it's sort of cool to discover something before you get swamped by the unavoidable hype. I remember getting GTA III at launch before it exploded and I was just blown away when it was so incredible and different. If I had gotten it two years later when everyone and anyone had discussed it and approached it from every angle, I wonder if I would have had the same experience.
Exactly. It's just cool to be part of a launch of something, whatever.
I'm sure Oblivion, PDZ, COD2 and Kameo will keep me busy untill the big guns of 2006, but this thread was just a kind of conversation starter. Like "what you guys think of the X360 2006 lineup", and not "Sometimes I pee radio-active yellow" live-journal thing.
