thing is most of the worst game characters are ones you've never heard of because they're so bad, they get no attention from the media in the first place.

oh, the owl dude from SC3 is pretty bad, though the current internet fad with owls doesn't help his case either.

and as for master chief, I just chalk him up as another space marine of the Aliens movie variety. Still kinda cool I think (just for you xren), but nothing special.

Crappy Acclaim character.

Cream is a 5 year old who beats evil geniuses. Lame character.

Andre the dark lum was pretty crap in Rayman 3. Globox was great, as were the designs of the Hoodlums. Not better than Evil Robot Pirates though

Okay, so she's not exactly new, but I'm sick of her being stuck in every party game, when the only main game she ever appeared in was Mario Land. I'd love Mario to have to travel to her kingdom at some point ala M&LSS and BeanBean Kingdom, or even just one level somewhere, but for the moment, she's just stupid filler.

Baby Bowser when it WAS Baby Bowser was fun. The Baby Bowser sitting alongside Bowser is crap. Can't believe the Koopa Kids were practically locked away in exchange for this lack of imagination

That helmet serves a purpose though, it de-humanizes him and therefore gives him a greater sense of power, determination, precision, menace (to his enemies) and just overall coolness.

Waluigi was really N64 gen, but Waluigi has been played out fairly well IMO. The antics he and Wario get into during those great Mario Sport opening scenes are hilarious, they work well together as the bungling duo. I'm surprised Wario hasn't hired him for Warioware yet.

sure but the design leaves a lot to be desired,the chracter is cool cause halo is a excellent game not the design himself

I didn't like him in the original (played the US DC version), but after learning some Japanese and playing through the Euro DC version, the character got A LOT more interesting. Great combination of geeky and confused hardass youth. Things that only crop up as offbeat innuendo are much more subtly discussed in the Japanese regarding his inappropriate motivations, and I think the original voice conveys the character a lot more like a human would respond to the situation. The English voiceover just makes the whole character feel robotic. So I can see why you'd disagree with me.
