Worst looking non-launch 360/PS3 game

Hope you have a spare pair of sunglasses when visiting Seafront village. Else the bloom may cause permanent eye damage.

Haha, yeah, but I think the overdone bloom actually works for the setting of Nier. Seafront Village looks quite beautiful with it's white coloured houses/buildings and blue ocean.

There's one major difference between Deadly Premonition and MIB.

One was a due to budget, the other was due to not giving a fuck.

It's not hard to see what is what.

Loved how the first comment on the OP's video link was a GAF beg lol

Also.....I don't even know what to say about those graphics so bad....budget film/game or not that is just terrible.

I don't understand why developers don't just do a dlc game instead, like a small arcade type game.

Look at that.
The game might be fun, but it is undeniable that it really doesn't look that good. It's similar to Psychonauts, excellent gameplay, bad graphics.

Psychonauts had bad graphics..? I remember it looking excellent; leagues beyond deadly premonition. Actually, it's better than a lot of the games coming out nowadays..very confused.

Sonic 2006 looked pretty horrible.

Atrocious character design, low-poly environments, repeated textures, super low short distance, and bloom out the ass to toss vomit on top of the diarrhea to make it look barely passable.

I would suggest seeing an opthamologist.

Yes, we all know Nier is a beloved game on GAF, but you can't defend the visuals.

Perhaps Nier isn't one of the worst-looking games this generation, but it's certainly not good, or even average. The snowy city in the opening sequence stands out as being particularly shitty-looking.

Psychonauts can very easily be "worst" for graphics for the opposite reason as Deadly Premonition: technically sound, but you can not stand that art style.

Anyways, of the games I played this generation? Yeah, Deadly Premonition and EDF are probably damn near the lowest, though I don't mind. EDF comes off as a cheesy B-Movie made into a game, whereas Deadly Premonition is... Deadly Premonition, the weird sort of game that seems like a really low budget, forgettable game that turns out to actually be a shining gem for the generation.

What exactly do you consider "average"?

alright, I still had a few other QLs to catch up on before seeing this, but you convinced me; MIB gets the priority bump

is dis da new nier thread?
No, it's the new Deadly Premonition thread.

... Although, yeah, Nier has some parts that have a FEEL like I'd get from an older, near-launch PS2 title. But it's not that frequent (mainly in the first village I feel), and a lot of EDF and Deadly Premonition look like they're from a budget PS2 game, with DP being extra weird with how absurdly detailed it can be at times.

Also, the worst-looking PS3/360 game is obviously Mega Man 9!

I mean, it looks like a NES game!

I'm kidding, of course

sorry guys, no matter what you post, MIB wins. OP was right.
Oh, definitely. That's why I ended up limiting it to what I played.

Though come to think of it, Two Worlds on 360 deserves a mention. In still shots it's not quite the worst, but it has one of the most erratic framerates I've ever seen in a console game, and thus the only one with the honor of causing me literal pain. Fuck that port.
