Would you take a Screech/Urkel role?

So I was flicking channels earlier today and Family Matters was on. Urkel was just starting a singing/rapping routine and I was suddenly filled with pity. I know this guy is probably much wealthier than me and also has more than likely even gotten some tang from his fame, yet for some reason I still felt sorry for him. It made me think of all the people who are marked for life because of that one role they played when they were a kid.

Anyway, my question to you guys is would you take a role like that - a loser role - knowing it would mark you for life? Money and fame be damned, I wouldn't want to be a thirty year old man that everyone remembers as Screech or Urkel.

If the money was in it so I could not have to go to work and shit, you could give me a role where I was a little kid who sucked off all the other little boys on the show. Going to work is for suckers. I might've eaten a dick or two, but I can buy you.

Hey, it worked out for the guy that played Junior in Problem Child.

He's living the life being a roadie for some band and trying to get people on imdb to stop making fun of him. Sounds awesome.

damn, Urkel is cool now

Hit up the pirate bay for "Screeched" to show you what the joys of loserdom can bring you 15 years later.

You haven't read about Screech's adventures lately have you? I'd kill to be that famous nerd on tv if I could end up giving dirty sanchezes to random hot girls in threesomes.

The thing is Jaleel White in real life was never anything like the character Urkel. I doubt it was ever a problem with him, since he is so different on-screen.

Going by what someone just said about Screech, I'd say he isn't like his on-screen persona either. Still doesn't stop the average person from saying "Hey it's Screech!" An even worse case would be Gary Coleman, who refuses to say "What you talking 'bout Willis."
