WoW - I'm really tempted..

So I'm really considering getting in on the WoW action. I know a lot of people who spend countless hours on it and they seem to love it.

The problem is, I'm on 56k. So I'm wondering what the word is on how the game runs through dialup. Some people have told me it runs fine, but then others just don't really know.

Anybody playing WoW on 56k who can let me know how it is?

i'm also considering getting into WoW, i'm actually shopping around for a 9600 pro. but i'm on cable, so i dun have to worry about lag. being on 56k would prob lag sometimes, its a minimum requirement. why dun you sign up with a high speed service provider, most of them give you a month free. you can cancel after.

I know a few people on 56K.. it isn't ever an issue.

as long as you have a ping of like 300 you should be good to go.

They should be tarred and feathered for living in areas where broadband simply isn't even an option! damn them!

yeah I know, it was a joke. 88% of my country is covered with broadband so I am spoiled.

Alls I know is, being a narrowband gamer immediately takes you off every friend/buddy list I have. Just kidding...or am I?

My guild's choice of servers often has me pinging at 300+ and the game still plays just fine, it only gets flaky at around 5-600 ms.
