WTF? Eyelashes really should not grow inward

Okay, this is certainly going to qualify as my oddest thread ever.

For about a week I've been noticing a black blur sometimes in the corner of my left eye's vision. I always noticed it while I was out and not near a mirror so I kept forgetting about it and assuming it was just some odd placement of a hair or whatever. Well, it seems likely that my guess is correct, but it's not what I expected. I've got this eyelash on my upper lid that grew out and then back in. It's rather tight across the skin, looks like a small stitch.

I'd pluck it but I don't have tweezers on hand at the moment, and I'm a bit concerned since I'm assuming its what is causing the slight dark spot in my vision. I'm not even sure how it'd be affecting my vision since its on the upper lid and above most of my eyelashes, which leads me to believe it might be screwed underneath the lid already.

So I'm a bit torn. On the one hand, I don't want to mess with my vision, but this seems real silly and my online searching shows procedures for truly ingrown lashes that are scratching the eye and whatnot.

I'll probably just end up plucking it, but hey, anyone know anything about odd eyelash business? I don't want to make it worse.

These are the best pics I can manage given my shitty camera and since I have to take the shot of myself.

I wouldn't be picking at anything with tweezer's there. You're liable to poke your eye. Looks like its a ingrown hair that is poking out of the skin due to it's thickness of the skin there.

Yes, that is the hair in question.

My online searching just reveals electrolysis and laser stuff to get rid of ingrown hairs. Apparently the former was discovered when removing ingrown eyelashes.

I don't want to deal with some annoying or expensive process just to get rid of a measly hair, but yeah, I'm rather wary of doing anything myself. I can only assume this is the cause of the distraction in my vision though, which sucks.

If I have an ingrown hair, I just get a pin and dig it out. Of course with that location I wouldn't try it.

One thing though, it's best to pull it out from under the skin, but to not pluck it out completely. You want to let the skin around it heal with the hair in place, otherwise it'll just heal over and most likely just trap it again.
