ok so ive been using firefox for a while now but then all of a sudden today i click on the icon to open the browser and some screen opens up asking me to chose a profile...so i click on the one i use all the time and it gave me some error saying i cant use it...so whatever i open the default and its like settings from like a yr ago. wtf just happened?

did that but it still opened to the default profile which is exactly one yr old. i would continue to use it but i know i updated firefox to the latest version. wtf..i want my firefox back!

Did you perform the following procedure EXACTLY when you upgraded?

1) Uninstall Firefox
2) Delete original directory
3) Install new version of Firefox

If not, I suggest that you try it again. Weird glitches like that sound like what happens when you don't follow the recommended procedure...hopefully you didn't mess up your profile with the Profile Manager, though.

That's happened to me before twice. Fucking sucks. Firefox is starting to piss me off, it's not loading a lot of pictures that it should, it takes for fucking EVER to save an image to disk if it's pointed to a folder with more than 20 pictures, and it's crashed 3 times this week. And it's slower than IE.

put -p after the target after you right click the firefox shorcut and right click it, then choose your old profile.

There's still lots of work to be done on firefox. I've had a few problems with it.
I don't recomended the use of it for "official business" yet.

i dont remember but im pretty sure i deleted/uninstalled firefox.


at this point is it better to just uninstall and download again?

i uninstalled it...re downloded it got firfox 1.0 and now im set i think for now. hopefully all the plug ins like media player and shockwave carried over since i saved the plug ins folder.

ok new problem...i got the latest mozilla and its running great but i went to this music site where i stream live music from and now its giving me an error: "methods missing" where b4 on the older version i could play it.
