"The American public does not identify with GAF."

Or the majority of film critics.

Rotten Tomatoes rotten 41%

But they rarely do......

Men in Black 2 rotten 38% box office $190 million

Armageddon rotten 40% box office $201 million

Note: I am not saying National Treasure is as bad as these, just that it got similar reviews.

Not a bad movie at all. I was gonna see it regardless b/c the previews made it seem interesting, and if you know any of the masonic shit, then that looked intriguing too. Worth a watch, not exactly lining up to see it again though. PEACE.

is this movie anything at all like the Da Vinci Code? It looks kinda similar in terms of story and such.

In that it uses real life set pieces and characters to spin a fantasy(in this case hidden treasure)?

Yes.

A bit late, but I just saw National Treasure and it's no suprise that it's made so much money (up to $133 million so far). Definitely a fun movie with a sort of modern Indiana Jones feel. How they worked in the lore behind the treasure was pretty cool,
especially all the Ben Franklin stuff.

Sean Bean makes such an awesome villain that
how they wrapped up his part felt a bit rushed
.

Anyone else think that Harvey Keitel's first scene reminded them of The Wolf?

The movie is definitely worth catching a matinee for.

I'll pick up the DVD for sure:
