WTH Amazon?! (what happened?)

So I order Xbox ONE analog sticks to mod my DS4 controller with.

These ones to be exact:

So what happened was I ordered them on Amazon on Thursday and got an estimated delivery of Tuesday, WITH 2 Day Prime shipping. Weird, should've got them on Saturday.

So I check on Amazon today and it says that the purchase was declined and it charged me on a new order for the same set but $2 cheaper. This order is estimated for: Friday, April 3, 2015 - Thursday, April 9. Cmon! The hell?

It says they got it in NC but on USPS there isn't an estimated delivery time.

So I guess my main question here is, wth happened, and is there anyway I may get it on Tuesday?

This shouldn't have happened. That's weird. It sounds to me like the initial item wasn't actually in stock (listing error) with whichever vendor/seller it was, and they switched to another authorized Prime dealer, with a different estimated delivery date.

At first I was thinking, what kind of nondescriptive title is "WTH Amazon?" Is this dude just learning how to post? But then I saw that you cleared it all up with a second, parenthetical title.

This very rarely will happen if you purchase from third party vendors, even if 'fulfilled by Amazon'. Sometimes third party vendors don't keep their inventory as up-to-date as Amazon does and they will over-sell an item. When that happens, Amazon will cancel your original order and try to process a new order with the next available third party seller - essentially making your purchase a 'back-order' item. This will sometimes cancel your 2 day shipping down to the default 5-8 day ground shipping because of processing glitches when they have to redirect your purchase through a different vendor.

At least, this has been my experience the one time something similar happened to me.

Is there a way I can change the shipping or no...?
 
I thought this was going to be a thread saying amazon has got really shitty or something. It's almost like those help gaf I'm experiencing health problems what should I do?
 
Contact them during the week. Avoid contacting during the weekend at all costs. That's when they outsource the support and it gets really bad.
 
Happened to me, except they put the charge on a different card. I called them and got free one day shipping. You should call them, the internet chat leads to nowhere.

Yes, it will be applied. It was likely applied before it was shipped or they will contact USPS and ask them to expedite the shipping to one day. Most likely the latter.
 
Thought this thread might be about disappearing movies/TV shows on Amazon Prime. WTH Amazon. I was in the middle of Foyle's War, and now I'd have to pay to finish?

Seriously wondering if Prime is worth the $100 anymore.

Call now, they're 24/7 I believe. Usually they need to know where the package is. If it's on its way, you're stuck waiting, but if it's not, they can switch, which is why I say don't waste time and call now. I've spent the last week dealing with their support because their payment system felt like it went to shit this week. Whatever you do, be polite but firm and mention how you only ordered because you knew it would be coming in two days.
