My iPod fell out of my hand when I was getting out of my car on Wednesday morning before work, it's been a pretty awful last few days. I have to bust out the CD cases and collection again here, and get myself more rockin' at work... but here's what I've been listening to in the meantime:

Thunderbirds are Now! - Justamustache & Doctor, Lawyer, Indian Chief
Spotlight On... Optiganally Yours
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
A Frames - Black Forest
Bright Eyes - Digital Ash, I'm Wide Awake, and Lifted
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers
The Game - The Documentary
The Raveonettes - Pretty in Black & a CD-R full of b-sides and rarities my friend made me ("Mama, I'm a Communist" fucking rules)
Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze
Merzbow - 1930

I got a CD from the singer of Touchers when I saw them last night, so I'm going to pop that in soon.

Beck - Guero Beck isn't doing anything he hasn't done before here (I think the MeatPuppet-esque country/hardcore songs are a bit perfunctory), but I suppose there is a more confident, mature grasp on his ideas. Its less indulgent in a way. While there isn't a track which truly blows your mind, its still an effective, entertaining album, and only suffers from a little blandness here and there (Que Onda Guero, EPro) I'm giving it an 8/10 upon the first few listens

The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour I challenge any of you punks to find a stronger 1-2-3-4 punch than 'I am the Walrus, Hello Goodbye, Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane'.

It's an incredible sequence, but I'll say Airbag, Paranoid Android, Subterranean Homesick Alien and Exit Music comes close. If you add Karma Police and Let Down, you've got the best straight 6 songs ever!!! Or so I think...

Currently listening to Nine Inch Nails Live at The William Saroyan Theatre. God damn, the With Teeth tracks rock so much

i deleted the new songs from this one - i don't want to hear them before the album comes out... 'burn' is awesome and i love how 'closer' includes the keyboard bit from 'the only time'. and the start of march of the pigs with that fuzzy noise instead of the drums! OH

:D

I have no paitence. :p I have heard the teasers for every With Teeth track, and I wasn't so sure about the actual song With Teeth, but the live version kicks so much ass. It's possibly my favorite out of all the WT songs I've heard so far.

i think the teasers did it for me - i suddenly thought, 'i'm going to ruin this...' after what, 5-6 years of waiting? i can hold on ! however, i did listen to the 'right where it belongs' teaser clip 97 times before deleting it forever :D 'beside you in time' is gonna kick so much ass - that buildup is so tense it gives me chills :p but i'm done until may 3rd.

Oh, and Lambtron, Master Merzbow told your iPod to leap from your hands when he saw he was on the same playlist as the fucking Game. What the hell is wrong with you, man?
