Got this new character. Is the team lineup ok?

Hmm, it might be a good idea to avoid matchmaking in the new co-op event for the time being as you might get banned due to randos you get in your team cheating...

I was reading about this earlier. Seems people playing the event in single player are getting banned too. Back in the early patches, 1.1 or 1.2, Kuro went hard on banning accounts that were bought and sold, primarily in SEA region. Of course they all claimed to not do anything wrong until you found out they bought their accounts on one of those sites. I'll just do a wait and see approach on this, I still have plenty of new content to do without the event.

The first thing I did was go to the options and immediately turn on Coop only with PSN players. This is of course not a 100% guarantee, but better than nothing. Something similar already happened if I remember correctly in 1.1 or 1.2 when there was a similar wave of bans. PС and Mobiles cheater have always been a problem, and unfortunately no one has managed to solve this problem yet and it is unlikely that anyone will. There is too much money in this sector.

Got this new character. Is the team lineup ok?
If you equip this group and learn how to use Sanhua - this team is fire

You might be right. Just did a cursory look through reddit and the twitter post I've linked and most of the people who got suspended in this ban wave are players from South East Asia.

Anyway, all the missions I've finished so far in this event have been through solo play. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Which of the current events is worth doing as low level?
Basically, everything you can. Usually the recommended minimum character level to start farming events is 70, they have a gradation by difficulty and the character's level is usually indicated there. They don't take much time and the reward is always worth it, a lot of resources for character development come from events. If you, for example, open the same CO-OP event that is going on now, they give out chests and Echoes as rewards. Chests allow you to choose one of the resources for development of your choice. Which is very convenient when, for example, you lack some specific resource to increase the skills.

Now I'm happy with everything.

Oh, wow! Nicely done my man! I wanted to 100% all the areas in Rinascita myself this weekend, but I got a bit sidetracked by ZZZ, Genshin, and the Avatar game that I bought yesterday. Hopefully this coming week I'll 100% everything. I'm mostly missing the caskets and a few puzzles.

Edit: I've also made the 666 post in this OT! :devilish:

Dudes, this random song on a random quest with Lorelei.

Season 5 What GIF by The Office
Unfortunately, you can't replay the quest, but if you collect all the flying notes, it's hidden in one of them, you can listen to it from the musician, I posted the name in this topic.

Well, I was running out of time to complete all the weekly stuff (and some event progression) for ZZZ and Genshin, and I was curious about how the Avatar game looks and plays on PS5 Pro. :p

Edit: Once I'm done with everything in Rinascita, I'll probably focus on some non-live service games, likely Space Marine 2, as my copy should arrive in a couple of days.

I just got the flying utility tonight and man, Genshin would never. Makes getting around the new map a breeze.

I just started about a week ago on PS5, never played the game before.
The game is fun, open world and very similar to Genshin but it has more edgy/mature aesthetic. The character designs are great. The story is OK, but doesn’t really get better until the black shores, a bit in. Although storekeeper repeats herself a thousand times essentially saying the same thing over and over, but even with that it was pretty good overall.
There’s a lot to like here if you’re into exploration and combat with an anime paint job. I’ve been having a lot of fun.
That said, the performance on PS5 is bad. Slow down, frame skips, stutters, etc. it’s not unplayable by any means, but after coming from Genshin, it’s noticeable. That’s one thing Genshin has in its favor, rock solid frame rate and excellent performance.

Thank you so much for the information. Damn, that sucks about performance. I care about performance and in 2025 on a PS5, it's sad to hear that stuff like that is still prevalent in games, let alone games designed to milk money out of people. I'm not sure about trying it out.

I'm like 6 hours in on the 2.0 story right now (been getting sidetracked and doing various things I run into on the map) and holy shit the night and day difference between 1.0 and 2.0. If this is the new standard for the game, I'm going to be very happy moving forward. The gameplay is diverse, never doing the same thing for too long. The scenes and camera work are awesome. The animations are great. The character emotion on even NPC faces is crazy good. The environments are so detailed and varied, lots of different feeling areas that have cohesive transitions from one to each other. The story itself is kinda interesting and I can't even tell for sure what's going to happen. I'm one rest away from starting Carnivale proper. Even the minigames are higher quality and more fun this time around. The battle challenges have objectives instead of just "beat it in X:XX time" being the only win condition. Some of them are really fun to try to do. I also don't know much since I don't use guides until I am done playing blind, but the various knights quest where you find them/kill them/get their swords/put them in the graves on that island has my attention too. I hope the reward is something actually good and not a Genshin-tier shit reward at the end. I love the world lore that Rinascita has. Shits all over Jinzhou stuff.

I also like how the new artifacts set effects are being used to build new team comps that maybe wouldn't have worked so well. Like that one new Havoc set is great if you wanna use Taoqi as a support, where previously she just used the generic Energy set.

I can't say enough good things about 2.0, coming from a guy that's been playing this game since the beta.

They even managed to maybe warm me up to rolling for Roccia. We'll see how my resources look at the time.

Bravo Kuro, bravo.

I'm excited to see where the story ends up when I finish it(?) tomorrow. I wonder if the fact that Lorelei looks an awful lot like The Shorekeeper will be touched on in the reveal. Also to me it seems there is a 99% chance that Phrolova is Carlotta's big sister and the first daughter of the Montellis

The new area, story, quests and enemies are really great. So many different things to do and the quests are great too. Flying around the map is awesome. I hit Lvl 80 today.

It's their first console game, so perf issues were kinda expected. There's a good chance they'll do more optimizations through future patches, just like HoYo did with Genshin when it first released on PS5 as it ran poorly back then with lots of drops to 40 fps. I've already talked about this a few pages ago in this OT.

Even with the perf issues the game is still very fun and it doesn't detract from my experience with the game all that much. However, if that’s a deal breaker for you, I completely understand.

P.S. The PC version is in a much better state.
All those recordings were made on my PS5 Pro. I'm not sure about the base PS5, but on the PS5 Pro, it looks like the game is being rendered at 1440p or above (it looks way crisper than on my old PC, which is hooked up to a 1080p IPS monitor), with the UI being 4K.

Just keep in mind a few things here: Genshin is running on a heavily modified version of Unity, while WuWa is on Unreal Engine 4, which is a tad heavier for open worlds (see how well Genshin runs on mobile vs WuWa, which can struggle even on 2-3 year old high end phones). Also, the first versions of Genshin on PS5 ran terribly, with lots of drops into the low to mid 40s. They fixed it a few patches after launch, and now it runs at a mostly stable 60 fps at 4K.

The things that Kuro Games needs to focus on right now are fixing the performance issues and the low resolution textures in some parts of the game, like environments and character models (they look terrible in some of the story cutscenes and leave a bad impression on new players).

Even on PC you can clearly see the game is now more demanding, specially in the new region and when you use flight mode.

On very few ocasions I've got framerate dips, from stable 60fps right to 50 fps, going back to 60fps right after. Before 2.0 game was 60 fps stable, flawless.

Also on flight mode, pop in is way more noticeable now when you start to approach the ground.

There's something going on, which I think it's perfectly normal. Future optimization should fix it.

Yep, same here. Up until 2.0, my friend was getting rock solid 60FPS with mods. Now it's 50-60 while flying or in areas with high population density, 40-60 with mods. I've noticed a huge image quality difference in switching to DX12 from DX11 though, so while I wait for Kuro to optimize performance, I'm enjoying the crazy good visuals of the DX12 version.

Sucks that they chose UE4 for this game. I'm not sure which engine would be better, but UE has a number of well known issues at this point that probably aren't ideal for open-world games.

I can only say one thing about this, Unreal Engine is doing a speedrun for the title of the "best engine" on the market. No matter what game comes out on it, it's always some kind of crap. Kuro want a beautiful picture and decent graphics, well now they'll have to work hard with optimization. Or as they call it now - the price of technology for beautiful graphics.

I'll note on my own behalf that I have the game 100% closed, including all bosses. There are performance issues, but I haven't experienced any special problems in terms of gameplay and progression. I'd like it to be better, of course, but as they say, we've been through worse (those who tried to play the same TOF at the start will understand me).

Looks like Kuro realized that Phoebe didn't have much curb appeal, so they are adding traversal stuff to her kit to get her to sell.

She can teleport up to about 20 meters and apparently she can also walk on water.

Shorekeeper can already do something similar and she automatically picks up loot while she's in her butterfly form, so it's still not enough to tip me towards rolling Phoebe.

I think Kuro should probably ease the burden of leveling a new character. I see it absolutely as a negative with how many characters I have that still aren't built. And I'm not even talking Echoes.

I'm glad when such features are added to characters, here it looks a bit like a bug (It might just be a bug.), usually it has some unique animation, here I don't even see traces on the water. Plus, starting with 2.0 we can fly now, I'm not quite sure yet how useful it will be.

As for Phoebe, I wouldn't worry yet, let's wait for the release and see what and how, she's a kind of pioneer in the ranged unit class - the mage. Let's see what she has with damage and rotation. If she has huge damage, meta players will pull her without thinking.

It's not yet confirmed if it's a feature or a bug (the water part). Unless they are saving some major plot twist regarding Phoebe Like her being the true Sentinel's resonator, considering the elf girl could apparently be the Lament Resonator , I don't see why they should give her that many extra features.

Update from Kuro about the banning issue:

GhKrz7PbwAAsks6

Also, some of the affected people got unbanned:

I wanted to farm TD in other people's worlds,, but damn, I think I might wait on that.

Because this seems like the case if you get in touch with a player that uses mods, you can get axed in the process. And we have no way in telling if the other player is actually using mods or not.

It actually makes sense and probably is up to date.

And now that I think about it, I always end up clearing everyone when I'm farming for a specific echo and that messes up the pity count.

Oh, and it was a long time ago, I didn’t use such a system, I didn’t have any particular problems with farming and I raised my Bank to the maximum very quickly too. But it is true that it is better not to jump between bosses, but to farm one until the required piece and only then move on to another.

The problem with Echoes and their farming lies in 3.
4 - These are bosses, you can farm them as much as you want, they are always available, you don't have to look for them, they are always in the same place. The easiest piece of the set.
1 - These are usually small enemies, and usually we just use AoE farming, take a character with huge AoE damage and they are simply killed in seconds, everything is simple here too.
That's why the build for beginners has always been 4-4-1-1-1, it's incredibly easy to assemble and requires minimal effort.

3 - Here everything is more complicated - these are Elite enemies, and usually 3 are needed with extremely special stats for each of the characters, which already complicates their farming, but the number of 3 since these are elite enemies is significantly less than the same 1 and they do not respawn like 4, that is, there is a strictly limited number of enemies 3 that you can farm per day. This plus the difficulty with the selection of stats makes 3 the most difficult piece of the set, and you need 2 of them. For this reason, the 4-3-3-1-1 build is recommended as the final one and for experienced players.

Based on this, there is a certain popularity among characters for Farming - let's say the same Jinhsi, who has simply huge AoE damage, but most importantly, she can kill 1-3 just by pressing one button, her Resonance Liberation simply kills everyone in a huge radius with one hit, which makes farming incredibly fast (I call this farm - Jinhsi Nuclear Program :messenger_tears_of_joy: ).

2.1 Banners. Take with a grain of salt:

Supposely Shorekeeper was rumoured to be in 1st Half. Judging by this it's not the plan anymore.

Seems like they might save her for 2.3, for a run along with Zani (who is also a rumoured Spectro character).

But Phoebe being the only 5-star also feels weird.

There is some sense in this
The first half, to be honest, is some kind of salad of characters, I don’t see any connection
The second half makes more sense. - Changli DPS - Brant (2 or 3) God, how I don't want to pull him, but apparently because of Changli I'll have to :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Brant makes total sense for me because one of my teams mains Changli.

Plus, he has the potential to pair extremely well with Scar (my most hyped character in the game) when he eventually comes around. There's just no way they don't make him fusion too.

I just hope they don't take that long to release him.

Yes, I agree. Now the main problem with Changli is that it doesn't work as a DPS, in order for it to give out DPS equal to the same Jinhsi, you need to press all the buttons perfectly, use all the most complex techniques, and she still won't catch up with Jinhs DPS. At the same time, on Jinhsi you will be drinking tea and eating a sandwich at that moment and will give out more DPS. If Brant somehow solves this problem, I will most likely try to get him, if not, I will most likely skip him.

"This changes everything"

*figures out what a drop rate/pity mechanic is*

"so what you do is go kill a bunch of monsters, and then you get the drops you want!"

Seems handy if you're farming a specific boss, but for 3 cost and below, 25% drop rate with a 4 fight pity is so much more painstaking to keep track of than just mowing down all of the monsters. Plus Kuro wants you doing Tacit Fields anyways or you won't have enough xp to level Echoes.

One change I've been suggesting in surveys since the beginning is letting us dismantle Echoes into XP items or use the level 1 Echoes as xp fodder themselves. Even if it's not much xp, it beats the absolute nothing we can do with them currently.

Looks beautiful, but I wonder the impact it will have on the FPS.

Also since it's nvidia sponsored, I can see AMD GPU getting side tracked.

Grabs his AMD GPU and starts crying.

The RTGI looks really nice IMO, but yeah, we'll see how they go about implementing it. Wondering if a form of RT comes to console as well (I'm personally hoping for RTGI on PS5 Pro so I can make more beautiful photos).
