Take that back

you know it to be true, if there was a slider to turn that shit off, most Robin havers would click on it after a week
I'll admit and say that I can see where you're coming from.

And speaking of HSR, I don't really play it, but I have like 100 pulls saved up and I think I'm going to try my luck for Castorice when her banner drops in a couple of days because her animations are fucking insane.

Any chance they will ever add the option to customize the HUD elements on console?

Do you guys have any secret tips on how to sort through and clean out your echoes? I usually skip the double echo drop events because my inventory is always near max and it seems really time intensive to get rid of them.

Of all the things Kuro does well, not letting us level up Echoes with undesirable level 1 echoes remains a huge pain in the ass to me.

I filter a set and desirable stats -> lock all those -> recycle everything that's not locked via the data merge -> manually look through the merged echoes and lock those with good stats -> repeat recycling until 0 unlocked echoes.

I run a tidy echo ship.

I usually mark every non-desirable echo I get as junk and then every 2 weeks I use the batch merge option (it goes up to 100 echoes) to get rid of the junk ones. It's still a tad annoying, but the process doesn't take too long.

This better be because of Zani and not Cantarella.
Spider Man Crying GIF

Why does nobody else but me like Cantarella...

But yea rating increase is always nice to see. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - gacha games with pseudo gambling (and real gambling games) should not be accessible to anyone under 18 regardless. When I see reddit posts about "look at my 4 year old daughter's gacha results, she's so happy!" I want to report them to CPS.

Tbh imagine the increase is probably because of in-game currencies and laws regarding that, but who knows

I like Cantarella, hell I LOVE her, but in a "still not gonna pull you" kinda of way. She was fantastic in the 2.2 story and her quest was great as well.

I don't think it's related to in-game purchases (random items) since all the other big gachas I've looked on PSN (Genshin, HSR, ZZZ) are PEGI 12 still, so it would a bit weird from PEGI to only target Kuro and not HoYo as well.

Although they did screw up with Balatro by rating it PEGI 18 when the game released last year (reason was simulated gambling, lol), but they overturned it in February of this year - https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cd654qy89evo

Anyway, this was WuWa's PEGI label and its content descriptors before

and after

Maybe Cantarella did get them into hot water with some of these rating boards? 🤔

I'm actually curious to finding out the reason of the change. Also, I looked on PEGI's website but there's no specific 'Nudity' content descriptor, but it's mentioned in the 'SEX' content descriptor

Fucking finally beat Dragon of Dirge hologram. Holy shit what a slog. Ultimately I won by playing mid-range, baiting his divebomb that you can parry, and using Lorelei for the bonus it gives. Also got that achievement for when you get 1 shot by a Fusion attack at 50% or higher HP lol. He's got so many attacks with follow-up attacks. Felt like I was just spamming dodge for 90% of the fight. They really should give him more parry moves, like his claw slam and the wind-up to the breath attacks. Even if the windows are small, for him to only have that one parry is kinda rough.

One mistake and you're pretty much dead. Gets the ol' heart pumping for sure.

a bit offtop, but hooooly hell the amount of in your face FUCK YOU PAY ME pop ups in Star Rail's anniversary update is crazy
Yea that game is getting worse all the time. I find it funny that the community was complaining about "black screen" taking over instead of them showing animations of the characters doing things. Like "Black Swan touches her forhead against March 7th" instead of them just animating them doing it, so this patch they changed it to.... a white screen lmao. Big F-U to the players.

Anyways, more goodies from the censorship patch this morning Fleurdelys got smacked too. Probably more that just hasn't been found yet:

Damn, they censored Sluttyrella's design. Guess it was due to the usual CCP shenanigans, but feels bad man jpg for those who pulled for her. :lollipop_pensive:
Wish they'd just keep it in the CN version. Kuro themselves do that with Punishing Gray Raven. We don't get the censorship patches that they force in CN. They could always take a page from Snowbreak and do the Localization = 1 trick.

Censor all you like, I'll still be a degen

giphy.gif
Man, that gif takes me back. Haven't seen it in years lol.

Anyways, I left in-game feedback to revert the changes. I encourage anybody bothered by it to do the same. Feedback menu is a button on the pause menu screen. I have a feeling if they get away with this one, we're due for more, so it's best to try to make a stink now.

Better angle at the Fleurdelys censor:

Well, speaking of HSR, I just lost my 50/50 for Castorice to Clara (had a bunch of pulls saved up through daily logins and mail rewards). So I guess I won't be starting to play it for real after all, which is fine by me since I already play too many gachas.

I might still give it a shot if it comes to the Switch 2, but I def won't be playing this on PC or PS5.

Got her out last night, good news she completely broken, bad news she completely broken.
I decided to quit the game after completing the story. This was the last game of miHoYo, which I still went into and played from time to time, but to be honest, the more time passes, the more their games begin to move in some strange direction, which I absolutely do not like. That's why I decided to complete the story and finish the game. As for Castorice, she actually has a slightly modernized Jingliu kit, she also sucks HP from itself and the group, converting it into damage. Her most broken part is that she has a "unique feature" - she can save any character from death once per battle and actually resurrect him, and she does not need to be in the group for this, it is enough for her to be on the account (a brilliant design solution, and honestly raises huge concerns for other new characters, because this is actually crossing the line of pay to win).

Yeah, I heard about the Castorice drama with the global passive buff and what that might mean for future units... Still contemplating if I'll give the game a real shot or not.

I finally won Castorice as my second ever 50:50 there after losing for a whole year straight, nice coicindence HSR and WuWa run purple themed characters, but like M Mayar i think i am going to give up too.

I wouldnt recommend the game, ive stopped spending there and started spending on WuWa some time ago for a reason. HSR is far more predatory than the other big 2. Its also turn-based so its all about stats and characters, the power creep is real and game just feels super greedy as a result, worst is theyve started to put really key parts of characters kits behind Eidolons/LCs (Aglea and Castorice for example) and now theyve added remembrance path which locks you out of using light cones and forces you to get new ones despite Aglea practically being a hunt path character and Castorice a destruction one.

They do give a lot of free shit and it has cool characters so its not all bad, but the new mtx store windows and really cheap production values (relative to how much money that game makes) are really off-putting.

I swear, I think I'm the only one here on Gaf whose favorite gacha game is Star Rail. It's the only one I feel invested in like 90% of the story and characters (Zenless is probably around 70-80%, and WuWa's story technically improved once it reached 2.0 but still feels significantly inferior to HSR and even ZZZ). I'm not saying there isn't the occasional fumble (2.1 irked me for being the "pull Aventurine" update to such an extent everyone else just hung around and chilled, and 2.6 was…….a choice), but the highs are insane. I admit, the original Luofu story was eh, but Belebog was great, Penacony in 2.0 and 2.2 was superb (and 2.3 being a nice little epilogue), the return to Luofu in 2.4-2.5 was a significant improvement over the planet's original storyline (and the A Foxian Tale event, with the Ghost Hunting Squad, was peak), and despite my initial disinterest in the new planet's theme/aesthetic, 3.0 and 3.1 have been solid so far.

The power creep means nothing to me since it generally doesn't affect the main story from what I've seen, but rather only the end game modes which means all the drama over power creep is literally over 100-200 Stellar Jade every two weeks which is honestly hilarious to me. In fact, power creep makes sense to me, shouldn't Hoyo give SOMETHING in particular to players who are actually financially investing in the game versus those who don't spend a dime or at most buy the $5 "90 Jade per day" pack?

I mean, I feel like the drama existing over this is like saying someone's trading card game deck that is literally the starter deck itself should be just as viable playing against a player who bought several booster pack boxes. That doesn't make any sense.

I feel this is why so many tier list content creators come off as disingenuous about this because they know tiers don't matter much for the main story and that one can obtain the majority of the end game mode rewards as long as they have a decent variety of units which anyone who's been playing the game for the majority of its lifetime should have by now no matter how much, little, or nothing they've spent. But drama equals views, so they have to hype up the power creep drama and their audience feeds into it.

Like, the last end game mode update, my Tribbie was half-built (skill/Ult/Talent traces only at 6/10, meh relics, even more meh ornaments) but I put her on one of my teams for the final fight regardless because I wanted to use her. I still managed to clear with 20 turns left (barely, I admit, but still) despite that setback.

A good deal of people I've seen complaining just seem to throw whatever units they have it that match the elemental weaknesses without putting any more thought into it besides that. One can easily find team guides for any new end game mode update, and yes, they include options for F2P players, still recommending old 4 star units even.

Not to mention it's already been confirmed older units will be buffed, 4 were confirmed in the 3.2 update video, and more are on the way.

Admittedly, maybe this is the downside of the HSR team being more generous with rewards compared to Genshin. It can lead to making fans happy…..but that happiness can easily turn to entitlement, which is especially hilarious for people who aren't even spending any money on the game.

As The Simpsons said perfectly:

Comic Book Guy: Rest assured I was on the Internet within minutes, registering my disgust throughout the world.
Bart: Hey, I know it wasn't great, but what right do you have to complain?
Comic Book Guy: As a loyal viewer, I feel they owe me.
Bart: What? They've given you hundreds of hours of entertainment for free! What could they possibly owe you? I mean, if anything, you owe them!
Comic Book Guy: …….worst episode ever.

Now, to be clear, I'm not saying players can't feel frustrated, but if that frustration leads to a sense of entitlement, that's when I call such behavior out. Plus, I've seen a few of the complainers actually insult or mock the people who have spent some money in the game, and at that point I lost all sympathy for those particular complainers, as attacking the people who are the ones keeping the game running is fucking idiotic and immature.

And to be clear, I'm referring to other forums like gamefaqs with such behavior, as no one, at least in the ZZZ and WuWa threads (I can't speak for Genshin as that game lost me three months in, I liked some of the characters but it just didn't grab me much, also STFU Paimon) acts this way, or if they have then it's rare and probably by some random infrequent poster who I wouldn't remember.

Sorry for the length, but what can I say? Star Rail engages me in a way that no other gacha has yet to do. Just how I feel.

Oh my God, someone must have let out everything that was pent up in their soul. It's all very simple, if you like the game, play it, if you don't like it, don't play it. Everyone has their own tastes, preferences, priorities, and that's absolutely normal.

For all those who have problems with 50/50 and who constantly lose, I have a recording of a secret ritual for the Gatcha games, there is a rumor that it increases the chance of getting the desired character by an average of 20%.
For some reason, only works on female characters...
