It's a PV (promo video) and they usually don't make it into the game (or only some parts of the cinematic do). There are more like this on their YouTube channel, including this one with Shorekeeper where the majority of the cinematic is focused on her backstory:



I recommend at the very least to check out all the story focused PVs they've uploaded on their YT channel.

So the January PSN download charts have just been published, and as I expected, WuWa topped the F2P charts in Japan. This bodes well for the future of the game, as the JP gacha players are the highest spenders by far (talking about ARPU).

I'm super curious how they're going to release her. Do we get one character that switches forms, or is one of them NPC only, or are we looking at two releases for the same character? Interesting times to see how they handle it.

Regardless, if we only get one, I want this version.

So I threw a few pulls "building pity" trying to get a Lumi resonance or two, ended up getting Phoebe. I'm not mad about it actually. She's not a priority to build, but it's a win considering I was only 40 pulls deep to get her. And I got a copy of Lumi too.

Question - are these modes actually limited or are they just gaslighting me? Seems that they just added Hecate to the hologram battle arena and the other two will still be there permanently. I hate when they put non-limited stuff in the "events' window.

I did a few fights of each boss and there weren't any "bonus" rewards or anything that I saw, just what was advertised in the hologram selector.

Like Camellya, she is very much focused on AoE, but overall the game now has another top DPS.
I was impressed to see Havoc Rover get a bump to 0.5 too. Now that they have access to S6, they get essentially free 25% crit rate, allowing you to dump on CDMG. Plus Roccia and the Rinascita Havoc Echo set was basically made for that team.

Why? He got Roccia for the 2nd slot as a support that increases Havoc's damage, for those who don't want to play Camellya, it's a pretty good option.

I was most amused by the fact that according to the leaks, someone really thought that Phoebe would be a Sub DPS and a support for Zani, here it might turn out exactly the opposite, that Zani can become a support and the 2nd position, which will upset me very much, to be honest. And so yes, once again proof that it is better not to believe rumors =)

P.S - Well, judging by everything, Sanhua is on top as the best 2 for DPS's will now hang in the top for a very long time. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I've actually almost finished building my Havoc Rover. The echoes are 90% done (I'm just missing one double crit on an echo), and I have her skills at 6-9-9-9-6, and I'll finish upgrading them this week as I didn't do any of the weekly boss farm since I was waiting for version 2.1 BP to drop. Oh and I'm going to try and get that last Havoc sequence ASAP. Yeah, I'm missing Roccia but Havoc Rover is still very fun to play. :p

I don't think he'll last long there. Most likely in one of the next patches we'll see a new Havoc DPS and he'll fall down again, he's only so high because there's no alternative to him at the moment. Roughly the same situation is now with Spectro Rover, without him Phoebe suffers a lot and loses stacks, so she has to use him. There are no alternatives, but how long this situation will last is unclear. But I swear to God if they do the same with Zani, that with Changli, roughly speaking, stupidly drive her into the second position as a support for Phoebe, I'll cry :messenger_tears_of_joy:

So supposedly theyve added ray tracing and ive seen some people already using it, but somehow it is completely missing from my game.

Apparently its supposed to be at the very bottom of the graphics settings, but mine look like this:

What's your graphics card?

I suspect it's probably exclusive to Nvidia GPUs, although people have already figured it out how to enable it on AMD GPUs.

The Narushio devs did a good job with the immersive camera mode they've added in version 2.0, because some of these these video edits are so fucking good. I'll have to experiment some more with it whenever I have free time.

I can't answer that yet since I've being doing my dailies on PC instead of PS5 Pro. I will check later today or tomorrow, when I plan to have a longer WuWa session.

Can't say as the report has the performance trends for December and that month was pretty muted for WuWa as version 2.0 dropped in January.

That said, it mentions Genshin and HSR performing well overseas, and also Girls Frontline 2 having a good global launch (8th in the revenue chart).

This is all mobile, btw, since the source of the data from the report is from Sensor Tower China.

I haven't started 2.1 content yet as I still need to finish a few character quests prior to 2.0 and after it was released (the main story is done though), but why it the holy fuck would you lock RT behind RTX 4000? It doesn't make any effin' sense. Kuro!?:messenger_face_steam:

I wouldnt rule out them enabling it in the future updates.

TBH youre not missing much, i feel it messes with the games art direction too much, i dont like it and think it looks worse in most cases outside of having proper reflections which are always a clear upgrade.

I kinda agree with this. It definitely takes the realism up a notch, which is strange alongside some of the anime aesthetics. But also, DAMN does it look beautiful sometimes. I turned RT on and just explored around the map a bit. some jaw drop moments for sure. Even some older areas.
The flying one looks bad in retrospect in a still shot, but while you're gliding around, it was fucking gorgeous despite the low LoD on a lot of the areas.

I also noticed that they still have a lot of work to do. Either they have more pre-baked lighting than I expected, or they haven't identified a lot of the lights as light emitting sources. Shadows don't match up for any of the smaller lights. You can see that there's only one shadow here and it points directly to the "light" on the path, where the moon was the only apparent "light source" in this instance.

Still, wow.

I tried to take a video inside of the church to show off the god rays, but Windows 10 and HDR captures don't mix, and I'm still struggling to find a free, easy to use capture software. Open to suggestions if anyone has any (has to be compatible with HDR)

There's a mod (or rather config edit) which turns raster reflections into almost RT ones (which I use) and I honestly can't see a lot of difference with RT here - the time of day is different, but during the day there's a shit ton of reflections hear, sharp and detailed ones even.

I mean, sure, RT is a lot more accurate, but honestly, without RT and with simple ini edits, the game's reflections and such looks way better that what you have without. I'd rather have RTGI and RT local shadows to ground characters (as well as geometry, vairous stuctures etc.) into the world better cuz they completely lack shadows of any kind on their bodies from hair, cloths. the sun, light sources etc. - it's just doesn't look right.

I experienced this on the tower sidequest from 2.0, and now in this 2.1 main quest, when you are at the bank, whenever I rotate the camera too fast, I can see some sort of lacking textures (it's the best way I can describe it).

It only happens when inside buildings.

Doesn't occur in any part of the game.

It's just the way streaming of assets works in modern games and in UE4 as well - they render everything in the clear line of sight depending on the set FOV and everything outside is removed from RAM and then streaming back in when you move the camera. There is no such thing in the open world cuz the way streaming works there is different cuz it's basically a large open map and the only things that are streaming back in and pop up are NPCs, foliage etc. cuz of the extremely low LODs even if maxed.

Anyway, it's not a bug, it's a feature:messenger_beaming:

Speakin' of Zani. Was it a tease for a new deffence class at the end of 2.0 story? She has a HUGE fuckin' shield and I'd love to see how this type of class will work:unsure:

Btw, why aren't they let us use use all out attacks to the rest of the game? It's just feels like a waste to lock them behing just one thing and for the rest of the game be basically the same as it was before.

Probably really hard to balance current content based on those buffs. I'd like to see it too, but if they do it for general content, it's probably going to be super weak compared to the event. I'm actually fine with that, I just like the visual effects.

Idk about Zani because I haven't started the new story yet, but Kuro keeps cooking with their character designs in both WuWa and PGR. They've just added this Camellya/Carlotta like elf vampire girl in PGR.
