During the livestream, they also revealed new 1/7 scale figures for Camellya and Changli (no pricing or pre-order info at the moment):

Pretty cool pose selection. I don't even want to imagine the price for that.

Damn they split Youhu and Lumi into separate banners.

Still in a "wait and see" for Brant, unlikely to pull for Phoebe though. Both will be determined once I can try their demos for myself.

Might just go for a Changli resonance instead. I think I have her at R2 already.

I kinda don't like the pose they chose for her, but it probably looks better painted.

3 new characters revealed during the trailer they showed at the end of the stream (putting them under a spoiler tag)

I like the bard and the last one especially, the first one not so much, will definitely skip.

It'll be interesting to see how the game will be performance wise with RT, but it already looks excellent. The new location/s are not that big it looks like, but I love the vibe and look, as well as the Vault and its tram system, ah, if only we could use it across all Rinascita instead of traditional fast travel.

Damn they split Youhu and Lumi into separate banners.
Yeah, fuck that 24/7, but it won't force me to risk and get Phoebe.

So many male characters. Oh wait...

Last one looks dope. Isn't she the female character that we met at the end of 2.0?

She does look like a more mature/older version of Cartethyia (Zelda :p). Def going to pull for both her and the 1st one (not sure about the redhead elf though).

Here's the teaser; they've just uploaded it on their YT channel:

Just finished up all the 2.0 limited time stuff, including the stuff that isn't really limited time, but was featured content. Lots of great quests in there.

The tower storyline was kinda bare bones, but the dungeons themselves were 10/10, wish we had more stuff like that. Tons of little secret areas with chests and stuff, gave me a solid use for the "Sensor" gadget.

Also, can't believe the effort they put in for a boss arena that we'll never use again where you only fight a regular ass echo that can clone itself.

Rqz6EAG.jpg

Also found a non-tracked mini-quest with Carlotta to just sit and have a drink/talk with her, it gives an achievement. Kuro really went full "soul" for this patch. Lots of little flavor things done just for the players that search them out/find them organically. It's really been a pleasure playing this patch.

Cool of Kuro to acknowledge this issue, which tbh is completely out of their hands since it's a server outage on Sony's end. Anyway, I guess I'll have to do all my gacha dailies on PC today.

[Notice on Abnormal Issues Occurred on the PS5 Platform]

Dear Rover:
Due to a PlayStation™Network outage, we have identified the following issues on the PS5™ platform:

- Unable to log into the game
- Unable to top up

The dev team is currently working diligently to investigate and resolve the above issues. We appreciate your patience as we work on the fixes.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Are there no cheaper pulls in this game 1 time per month? I mean I bought several pulls in the store through oscilated coral last month but I don't see anything this month. And i got some forging tides as well with that currency as well.

If I remember correctly, the discounted pulls from the shop reset when a new patch/version drops, which means about once every 1.5 months or so. In both HoYo games I'm playing (ZZZ and Genshin) they reset once every month like you've mentioned in your post.

The next shop reset is next week on Feb 13, after the new version 2.1 drops.

Farmed a bit more for Brant's set.

I'm currently sitting at:

246.7% ER
50% CR
254% CD

But, I'm using a fusion echo now.

So near, and yet so far.

On the downside, read on reddit that he may be kind of poopsy :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The most difficult character to farm and doesn't offer anything amazing. Welp.

Amplifier and healer in one package sounds pretty good to me, perfect for Changli. You can make a fully working team with just him + fusion dps.

But more importantly the animations look really fun.

Unless reddit has some kind of "fun limiter" that prevents you from using characters you want in whatever way you want, then why does it matter?

Be the #1 Brant DPS

Yap, I'm still going for him even if Kuro decides to put him in the short stick side.

Still one month away. Hope they drop his tacet field set on 2.1 at least. World farming is horrible.

His gameplay looks very fun (reminds me a lot of Camellya) so you can't go wrong with him even if he won't be a "meta" unit.

Anyway, here's the latest JP Vtubers react with the version 2.1 trailers:

Finishing the story stuff before the 2.1 update hits and it's unbelievable just how much stuff is in there, it's like 3-4 times bigger than anything ZZZ team managed to put out after 1.0 launch in a month and I haven't even finished 2.0 story yet. Moreover, do I even need to mention that it's a lot more interesting and there's far more character development here not just for the banner characters, but for the future characters from 2.1 as well?

It's not even funny and rather sad that the ZZZ team simply can't do that on the same level. ZZZ deserves better, man, better and far more than it's getting and it can be done, I just don't get WTF is going on out there at MHY.

I'm done farming for Brant.

RtnLq5m.jpeg

To these stats, I have an extra 16% CR, 8% from his nodes and 8% from his signature weapon.
Also, I have an additional 44% ER from his signature.

Build will be:
255.9% ER
57.9% CR
252.8% CD

I managed this while rocking only one ER echo, with the other 3 star echo being fusion damage, which is the ideal scenario.

I'm tired, boss.

Get double mat/money event.
Use for mat and then upgrade skills. Money runs out.
Next day use for money. Mats not enough.
Next day use for mats.... Rinse and repeat.

I hate money being needed for upgrading skills or level. Who are we paying exactly? Buying stuff and creating needs money is understandable but why use money for character upgrades. I feel I should start reducing interest in Wuwa now itself as sooner or later this will feel like a chore to upgrade everything and not be fun anymore.

I've been playing since launch and have never run out of materials. I have still have 3840 energy from that boxed energy item, but nothing to use it on. It comes down to you being a new player that hasn't participated in many events or battle passes yet. The only real material barrier is the weekly bosses with 3 attempts.

On Honkai Star Rail I've got over 12,000 in energy and not much to use it on, other than min/maxing relics.

I've played since day 1 and have all characters released till date and their weapons. I have all 5* characters and weapons leveled to 90 and only Sanuha and Mortefi leveled to 90 from 4*. The problems started when I started leveling the echoes for them and then the skills. I constantly run out of skill mats and then when I farm for them I run out of money as money is needed for everything. Echo leveling is another headache. Either the echo attributes are not good or echo leveling mat runs out. The only thing I never run out of are echo tuners. This is a pain when you have to keep farming for one or the other and then still can't proceed because a 3rd item (weekly bosses) are low. When playing a game feels like a chore then its not fun anymore. I already have burnout from Genshin, and Wuwa is reminding me of that so I might decide to quit early before I invest years into this game like I did on Genshin.

I think the problem started much earlier, at the very moment when you decided that you need to level up everyone. This is a Gatcha game, characters come out regularly, in the same Nikke there are already 134 of them (if not more, I haven't logged in for a long time), the very idea that "I will play a Gatcha game and level up every character" is suicidal. I have lost a lot of friends for the same reason. They continue to change Gatcha games and just as successfully burn out in new ones. This is a path that leads nowhere.

So I've been thinking about this a lot...

As much as I want Phoenix on my team... the latest teaser ruined all my plans. "I won't be pulling for anyone" until they'll release her:

RTmvbzu.gif

I mean, I'll gather at least 100+ pulls from the 2.1 update and if they won't release her in 2.2 (of which we'll know for sure thanks to leaks before they even announce anything) and if there won't be Zani and Shorekeeper in 2.2, I'll pile another 100+ pulls then, ontherwise get Zani or Shorekeeper with 100+ pulls saved.

Changli is peak my man.

I'm on course to reach 40K Astrite, which means 250 pulls. Plus currently have 42 radiant tides. So, I'm almost at 300 pulls.

Hoping I can get Brant with the radiant tides only.

Also, I hope the weapon banner doesn't drain me too much.

After that we stock again and wait.

You are right about that. They have great characters so naturally one would want to build and play them. I do have enough waveplates stored to be able to get enough mats and money to build all but not that much time to spend on this one game. With so many other games to play and with MH Wilds around the corner I don't feel like continuing on this anymore.

Usually in Gatcha games it just doesn't make sense to pump all the characters, it has no durability for the future + it also just speeds up your burnout to the game, since characters are constantly coming out. That's why most Gatcha players usually focus on 2-3 groups of characters that they like and then just change characters in these groups from time to time to stay within the meta.

P.S - And as a person who plays MH constantly and waits for Wild. Honestly, the farm there is even worse than in Gatcha games, that is if you play it honestly. The drop chance of certain Gems for an optimal build in this game, depending on rarity, is 1-3%, which can be slightly boosted by gold rewards to 10-13% . That's why "good" modders on PC quickly created a utility (mod) that allows you to edit these gems. For which Capcom then started banning (there was a lot of Howl), but the problem remained. But that's a completely different story... (Bets are accepted on how long it will take for such a utility to appear for Wilds)

Speaking of upcoming banners, I do have around 30k astrites saved up so far, but with the reveal of the new characters, I'll probably have to change my plans a bit.

I'm still pulling for both Changli and Shorekeeper (that hasn't changed), but I guess I'll pass on Changli's signature weapon (I've 2 Emerald of Genesis so I'll give one to her) and only get Shorekeeper's. As for the new characters, I'm going with the older version of Carthethyia (?) and the purple jellyfish mommy.

The main difference with MH is you can have multiple builds with different weapon and different armor and add in the multilayer element in the hunt, fighting the same monster again and again doesn't get boring. Not so with gacha games where if you are bored with one character you have to change to another as not much can be customized. I play for fun and not for clearing out ToA or those bs combat events where you have to be perfect in your rotation and all. Hence I build all 5* characters and then use them in different team combo.

I know this, I play MH starting from PS2 and Wii, and it doesn't change the fact that the entire endgame of MH is an endless grind of items and gems to achieve an optimal build, with one of the lowest drop rates in the gaming industry. Asian players are simply wired differently and they are fine with this kind of grind, I grew up on Japanese games and I'm used to this kind of grind too, but I know a lot of people who after 200 hours of playing MH still couldn't put together an optimal build and just quit. This type of gameplay and grind is not for everyone.

As for Gatcha, well, this in itself is also evil of course, and no one is going to justify the obvious things about how this whole system works. It's just that players with experience in Gatcha games don't play characters, they play this system. But this comes with experience and with a large number of Gatcha games, when you, so to speak, start to pay for your development in advance and bend the game system rather than try to bend to it. This approach is certainly not for everyone. And in a good way, you should always choose a game and gameplay so that you get pleasure from it and it is not a burden.

The point I was making is that in gacha game like wuwa and genshin the process and outcome of a repeated fight is almost same as the previous ones which makes the grind that much more tedious and boring. I guess I am just falling out of gacha mechanics now. Nothing against the game and the people who enjoy it.
