Reading through this thread seriously saved me $60. I had such high hopes. If I buy it, it'll be to play as NXT guys.
Your best bet is to wait until Black Friday.

HAHAHAHAH. Oh man, can't wait for the GB Quicklook.
Is this the first time IGN has given the main WWE game a negative review?
IGN.ca said:WWE 2K15 is like seeing Brock Lesnar going from breaking the Undertaker's streak to losing to Hornswoggle during the pre-show in back-to-back WrestleManias. Not only is it surprising, it's also pretty sad. I would frequently grab my copy of last year's grappler with the intent to quickly check some changes, only to find myself reluctant to switch back due to the far better roster and single-player experience. Do yourself a favor, save your money, and buy WWE 2K14. The minor improvements to combat and commentary in 2K15 don't even come close to making up for what was lost.
There is no IGN Canada though. At least not that I'm aware of. xDThis is Canada. US review will probably give it 8+

The site is ca.ign.com?
That's just the URL we're directed to, but it's the same content as the US IGN site. The site is ca.ign.com?
Go ask the NBA fans who buy the game every year or are a fan of the series how they felt about next-gen NBA 2K14. Madden is another one that was poor.NBA 2K14 blew me away last year and that was ready at launch and feaure packed. UFC came out this year and blew me away and that is their first shot on the new systems. Pretty much every sports franchise did better their first try than what it looks like Yukes is doing.
"Who's the greatest wrestler of all time? The Undertaker? Bret "The Hitman" Hart? The stylin', profilin', limousine riding Nature Boy Ric Flair? Or what about the Peoples Champ The Rock?
See, the WWE is about a diverse cast of characters. Just like here at IGN. So while we see many of the points of our Canadian counterparts we give WWE2k15 a slobberknocking 11/10.
If you don't think so, you should just know your role and shut your mouth
*gagging noises*"

IGN already gave the game a 5.9. I don't know what you're talking about.
He's talking about regional reviews. I know UK and Australia do them, he was under the impression Canada did as well since it goes to ca.ign.com.

Expecting 7.2 for current gen review. I'm not that big into the wrestling games anymore, and with DA:I releasing same day it's in no buy territory regardless of quality, but this has put my friend into full panic mode. He's clutching on for dear life to the current gen versions having all the effort put into them. The Universe cuts and roster shrink have hit him hard. He'll probably buy it regardless though 'cause dub dub.
I dunno, most of the reviews that used to score it highly did so quite often due to the wealth of custom options. If career mode is good (and Universe can actually be semi-booked properly this year with those story additions), it may get 8's and the like.
Dunno, I may get some fun out of this with the low low price of £0.00
This is last-gen. Current-gen review will probably give it 8+
So based on what we know so far. We're expecting the next-gen version to be the last-gen versions, but with better graphics, MyCareer and some gameplay tweaks?
That's everything different right?
I dunno, I still think there is hope for the next-gen version. The gameplay is getting tweaked with some new additions, the graphics look stellar so far in trailers, and the deep new career mode sounds great from impressions so far. I'm in the minority but I'm still hyped for this game.
If the deep CAW suite is still in tact, it's still pretty solid. That's what made the community fun. 2K would be killing a lot of their fanbase by dialing back so much of the customization for arenas, wrestlers, etc. Ditching CAF to me isn't a biggie - it was broken and needed an overhaul.Yeah, unless the creation suite has a few extra features reserved for next gen. I doubt it though.
By stellar graphics, do you mean slightly better than PS3 because that's what I'm seeing? By that I mean other PS3 games and not WWE on PS3. 2k on PS3 looks like slightly better PS2 game. Entrances look good until it switches to gameplay.

I guess a Japanese dev making a new NJPW game is a realistic possibility at this point. A rival for Yukes' engine coming out of Japan is just what we need.
Can anyone grab a screencap of how Sting looks in this version? I'm curious to see how bad the 90's and Crow Sting look without the 2K face scan.
At this point the only New Japan game you're going to see is something based on their trading card game for phones, which I think already exists.

So there won't be a review thread for this game?
Game looks a lot better than PS3. The scanned players are definitely noticeable. Lighting looks like a huge improvement too.
I'm hoping we can still create outrageous looking CAWS in the new suite.
they look leaps and bounds better than the PS3 version to me, the facial scanning alone is a huge improvement, not to mention the cool little details we will see in 1080p which youtube videos haven't been able to show us yet. The next-gen versions also have all the new animations that were captured, can't wait to see those.
The game looks much better than the PS3 version of course. I mean compared to other PS4 sports games it pales in comparison.
