Yeah, I'm really disappointed with the legends roster. I was interested in finally picking up the game for the first time in about 5 years but probably won't now.

Looks like Clash of the Champions 25 arena is in. Or, as someone else suggested, it might be Starcade 93.

Thing is they're not interested in making the best wrestling game ever or the game the fans want or the most complete game. They're looking to make a game that can quietly hold some features out that they can then deliver in WWE 2K17, and next year this will continue. Hennig was in 2K14, so naturally, he's not in 2K16. He'll make a return for 2K17, but Bret Hart will be missing. And so on for all of eternity.

I'd imagine that they have to pay each guy they use, so at a certain point it isn't economically feasible to include everyone. What I do wish is that they'd let us import wrestlers made with the same engine from previous games. So since 2k15 is the start of this graphics engine, I'd love a feature in 2k16 where we could pop the 2k15 disc in and import Hogan, CM Punk, Mysterio, Del Rio, etc, into the current game. Then, they'd only have to put in whatever legends they wanted for showcase mode that year and you could just import the other ones from previous games.

Uh, not really. All of the legends in this game are either recycled models from last year or new wrestlers relevant to Austin's showcase. Hennig is neither.

I'm sure WWE wants to promote people that A. Are no longer with the company B. Left the company in a highly-publicized way C. Have been blackballed from the company.

It doesn't need to be promoted as such. There are plenty of legends who don't make the game every year who are in good standing with the WWE. Also, the past attires and gimmicks of current wrestlers. Mohawk Undertaker, the Shield, short hair Daniel Bryan, Masked Kane, every non-Austin related legend from last year.
 
Wait for DLC then, I guess?

My hopes? Dudley Boyz, Joe, Rhyno, Mojo Rawley (JUST so we can have the Hype Bros), Blake and Murphy (to justify Alexa's inclusion), Jushin Liger, and Braun Stroman.

Oh, and a "Four Horsewomen" pack with Charlotte, Sasha, Becky, and Bayley.
 
Yeah I'm still holding out hope for the DLC to at the very least to incude Hall and Sid.

I can reasonably see Hall, Sid, Perfect, RVD & Piper be a DLC pack.
 
Any hints or indication as to what the season pass will include? Maybe im mistaken but didn't we know by this time last year what showcase dlc was in the works?

The hair on Eva Marie doesn't look that bad when she's hanging upside down. They've made some improvements on that front.

Divas look like they have a little more weight to them. They always seemed so easy to fling around the ring in previous games.
 
Still debating if I should preorder the digital delux or not. Do they usually sell the accelator thing (to unlock everything) on day one?

I know right! I really think they just didn't have time to implement near what they wanted to. They honestly needed about a three year development cycle but since it became a yearly release we got a product still in alpha. It was either release that or get eaten by WWE in court.

That didn't have mictotranssctions though. It's be weird if a kickstsrt is advertised in a pack but doesn't have any monetary value.

Who cares. Since Divas can only fight other Divas, Mikey Whipwreck can't be in those matches... Unless I made him manager for Team PCB or something.

I'm actually still getting over the lack of Sandman as much as I love Mikey though.

So they have Eva Marie, but they don't have the 4 best women wrestlers in the company?OK. If its true that they arent DLC...then who the fuck is making these awful roster decisions and why aren't they fired? I could understand Becky not being on just because her popularity hit this year (still Owens and Balor are in). Bayley, Charlotte and Sasha have been mainstays on NXT for almost 2 years. No excuse, just gross incompetence.
 
Seriously though, I don't care when they locked the roster in. There's a huge NXT presence and they didn't think to include the women who quite often will steal the show?
 
So I read a couple of things that sound cool in theory, not sure how they will play out, but probably the usual half assed way.

Makeup can run during the match when they sweat, so Stardust could look closer to Cody by the end of a match and Career has a lot more multiple choice promos and interference.

It also mentioned that Universe returns allowing you to be GM, but I'm betting they just mean you can book the matches like you always could rather than an actual GM mode.
 
Eh, hopefully they'll put in their attire, I'm sure people will be able to make them just fine. CAW creators are able to fix the messed up versions of people actually in the game so it's not that big of a deal. Just really shitty.

They have the time and resources to include half the NXT male roster, multiple Stephanie McMahons, and nobodies like Layla and fucking Cameron, yet apparently it's too much to include the women who've actually been making an impact in the past couple of years?

Who makes the final roster decisions? 2k or WWE?

It's almost like 2k was passing the buck here. They're suggesting they wanted to do it and tried to make it happen. It could be bullshit. I don't see why WWE wouldn't want them to be in the game.

It's almost certain that WWE pushed 2K to make absolute sure Eva Marie was in the game over Charlotte, Sasha, Becky, and Bayley. I've no idea what WWE's obsession with Eva Marie is but it sure is disgusting and unfair. They are even planning to make Eva Marie win the NXT women's title soon. Ugh.
 
So they make the biggest roster ever yet they don't include the four women who have legitimized American women's wrestling over the past year.

And the "they were recently moved to the main roster" excuse is bullshit. They were major parts of NXT back in 2014, so there's no reason to not include them when they included a bunch of other NXT stars.
 
For all those blaming 2K, it was said last year by one of the devs that WWE had final say on who did and who didn't make it into 2K15's roster. For example, 2K wanted Zack Ryder on the main roster but WWE refused to let him in. Not saying the same thing's happened here, but it's something to think about.
 
Yeah I think 2K has decisions on the cover guy, focus of the game (Austin's Showcase), and Legends, but in terms of the actual roster, it's WWE's call. They push for how marketing it goes too, i.e. not allowing Triple H to be in any defensive spot or getting pinned. I think they decide, somehow, on the roster ratings as well.
