- Right now it is being implied by several sources in WWE that WWE management was behind the Renee Dupree attack, by Bob “Hardcore” Holly. The backstage heat on Dupree was growing by the day, and he was causing several problems amongst others backstage.

Many say that Bob Holly was not part of the roster cutbacks, because WWE management looks at him as a “problem solver”, or an “enforcer” in the ring.

One former WWE wrestler in TNA has said that even Vince McMahon himself has given people the green light to go stiff on people, in order to send messages in the ring to the victims. Things like this do happen very often, and many in WWE are looking at it as not a very big deal at all.

Most believe from observations of the incident, that when Bob Holly attacked Renee Dupree, Dupree knew exactly why this was happening. Dupree did not fight back, when he could have. Holly is a tough guy, and it’s probably best that Dupree did not fight back, however he did have the chance to if he wanted.

Im not surprised..

Dupree has been getting in trouble for a while now, that "French Tickler" dance was supposed to be stopped a while back but he kept doing it anyway.. plus ever since he picked up the tag team strap he has been a complete no show.. he's also been jobbing to alot of people he probably shouldnt have the last few months.

Whatever, Im firmly entrenched in the JBL is the greatest champ in years camp and have actually started watching Smackdown just to see his promos.. calling Eddie's low rider a jellybean = comedy gold. Plus his new "JBL isnt just good for the WWE, he is good for America" stuff is great. Claming there have been no terrorist attacks since he was champ :lol Plus they are surrounding him with decent if not good workers for his cabinent. Its just a shame the guy couldnt wrestle to save his life.

I have to admit that while I hate JBL and his in ring work, his promos can be really funny in a heel kind of way. Especially with that shit eating, politician grin he has.

This "enforcer" thing may be true, but what about him jobbing in a dark match to Chris Masters and having to be hit on by Tough Enough contestants? Unless they're trying to "disguise it". It's all to convoluted.

The simplest answer is Bob Holly is an asshole of the highest proprtions.

Every credible source has said Holly is a complete asshole. But the fact that he didn't have to job on a PPV or Smackdown speaks volumes. Didn't HHH get squashed by Warrior as a punishment?

Yeah, he jobbed in a dark match... plus for a guy they hate so much, they have thrown him several title match pushes this year.. once against Brock and then against JBL as a pretty nice place holder feud.. once they push JBL over Eddie, Booker and 'taker, I dont know what to do with him.... Ive got a feeling Cena is taking the strap at WM21.. but I dont think JBL holds onto it that long.. maybe hotshot it to Angle?

My favorite recent JBL quote:

JBL said:
I'm not defending the title against any of ya! Do I have to say it in Spanish? Do I have to say it in hip hop? Do I have to say it in...monster?

Im telling ya, I was as anti JBL as anyone when it first started, and his in ring work is suspect, but this guy is pure gold on the mic. This guy actually makes me want to watch his matches just to see what kind of crazy stuff he does to win. Somehow he is going to cheat and win the fatal 4 way and claim how it proves he is the greatest champ ever.. and no doubt the promo he will cut for it will be awesome.

BTW best JBL quote ever... "the Only reason Booker T was the 5 time WCW champion is because I wasnt in the WCW".

Well there hasn't been a PPV yet for him to job on. But for the past two weeks since the incident he's been "punished" in various ways. Wait and see what happens at Armageddon first.

I think WM21 is going to be Angle vs Taker.

Not to go completely off-topic, but count me as another JBL convert. His ringwork hasn't been close to stellar, but he embodies everything that a proper heel champ should be (take notes, Hunter). He can rile up the crowd with the mic, cheats to win consistently, and then sings his own praises in order to rile up the crowd even more. Whoever the face is who eventually beats him will be the benificiary of some proper old-school booking.

That "no terrorist attacks since I've been champ" quote is fucking GOLDEN. :lol

I really don't follow wrestling much, but this sounds like the work of Paul Heyman.

Glad to see some people change thier mind about JBL. I've always liked him...but I thought he got the belt way too quickly.

I like Dupree as well...why did they ban the French Tickler? It kicks ass.

It was getting a face pop not the cheap heat they thought it would. So they wanted him to stop it but he kept doing it anyway.

Funny that you say that...the ECW DVD has met rave reviews and is selling extremely well. So what did the WWE decide to do? Take Heyman off the creative team. :lol

And it's somewhat coincidentally that Heyman was added to the team just before the Smackdown ratings mysteriously started to improve.

Yeah, but word is that Heyman was taken off Smackdown's creative team because supposedly they are bringing ECW back.

Sounds like wishful thinking to me though.

Wowee a watered down WWE version of ECW. Now if they made it an almost a completely diffrent company and gave Heyman almost total control of it that would be nice. Just let Vince do your accounting for you Paul.

Heh, we've heard that rumour before...but it would be nice. Though as Brian insinuated, a reborn ECW brand would have to be allowed to bring back much of what made it strong in the first place, instead of being some gimped up, watered down version.

Nobody told Austin to stop flipping people off or for The Rock to stop using catchphrases and witty insults so I don't see what's the big problem with Dupree. Isn't the whole point to get a wrestler over and have fans respond in a any way towards them?

After all that means more intrest in the product and more merchandise sales.
