Violated the wellness policy twice in the middle of his tag team push. Was labeled unreliable because of this, then got in a car wreck. Was off the air for a year, then jobbed to Sami Zayn. Now he's future endeavored.

Short contracts and mass firings has been a WWE business practice for awhile now. They let a guy develop a gimmick but as soon as that schtick wears thin they won't renew the contract and release him.

This also allows Vince to pick and chose who he wants to give a long term push because noobs don't stick around long enough to gain any sort of credibility in the industry. Constant turnover also let's Vince maintain a minimum wage in the industry with very few getting a wage increase.

You want to be a pro wrestler? You better be prepared to accept the strong possibility that it's going to be a one year career.
