Smackdown
They showed the tag title match from last week on the jumbotron where Eddie Guerrero tried to make it like Misterio hit him with the tag belt. They then had the open.
Rey Misterio beat Eddie Guerrero. Very good match. What a surprise. Finish saw Rey jump up on Eddie's shoulders and Eddie threw him behind him into ref. Another ref bump but at least it was innovative. Eddie did the same as last week and got the tag belt and draped it on Rey. Eddie layed down on the mat feigning being knocked out. Rey then got up and put it on Eddie as the ref came to. Ref saw Eddie trying to hide the belt and grabbed it and went outside the ring. Guerrero kneeled down leaning on the ropes pleading with the ref who was outside. This set up Rey's 619 but Eddie moved. He went for a brainbuster but Rey rolled him up for the win.
****They showed Heidenreich in the back talking to someone saying he was afraid of the casket. It was Paul Heyman who told him not to worry, he would take care of that stip right now. Commercial.
Carlito Cool is introed and comes out to announcers table with a
clipboard. ....Funaki beats Akio with a swinging DDT. This match was
just a backdrop for Carlito getting fans and ring techs to sign what
looked like a petition. Joy Giovanni who was the timekeeper refused to
sign. Carlito spit the apple in her face and left for the locker room.
I'm sure we;ll hear what the petition is on the show....
Paul Heyman and Heidenreich cofront Teddy Long in the back about the
casket stip. Long says he will get rid of the stip if Heidenreich can
beat Taker tonight. But it is a handicap match with Heyman teaming with
Heidenreich. If they win they can choose the stip.
Kurt Angle is talking to Jindrak and Reins when Amy Weber comes and
wants to talk to him. Jindrak and Reins leave. Weber says after the
Rumble Amngle may want to keep his options open. She tells Kurt to come
to her locker room after his match to talk about it.
Angle beats Brian Black (?) in the Angle Invitational with an ankle
lock in a minute.
They show Daniel Puder in the back. Torrie and Jackie come and
introduce themselves. Puder insults them and they walk away. Puder was
pretty good.
They have a battle rap between Suzuki and Cena with Michael Cole in the
ring. Cena comes out with a Sox jersey. Number 8 which is Yaz. Damn,
you think he would have worn number 14 in honor of Jim Rice though he
didn't make the Hall. Suzuki is dressed in an Uncle Sam get up. He does
some bad rapping which I couldn't understand most of it. Cena then
does his schtick. Kenzo was doing some funny Cena mannerisms. Hiroko
then broke out into a couple of lines from Beyonce's "Crazy In Love".
Funny stuff. Cena brings out 3 Divas which of course catches Suzki's
eyes. At this point the segment dragged and was dying. I was wondering
if it was a spot for a commercial. Hiroko then jumped one of the divas.
When Cena went to pull her off, Suzuki attacked him. Cena made the
comeback and they fled. It was announced that they would meet next week
in Tampa for the title.
They showed a promo for a 4 way tag match for the belts next week with
Mysterio/RVD vs. Bashams vs. Eddie/Booker vs. Reins/Jindrak
Doug Basham beat RVD when Danny pulled a switch during the match.
Mysterio was sent to the back early when he hit Doug outside the ring.
Kurt Angle was knocking on Amy Weber's door. He then noticed he had his
wedding ring on and took it off before going in. Comercial. When they
come back from commercial he is sitting in the room waiting when he
realizes the shower is on in the bathroom. He takes all his clothes off
except his briefs and pulls the curtain open. It is Joy cleaning up
rom Carlito's apple spittle. She grabs a towel and screams running from
the room. Kurt chases her and tries to apologize when he stops dead in
his tracks and sees the Big Show standing there. He tries to explain
but Show chases him to the ring. Jindrak and Reins come out as well but
Show beats down all 3. Angle was great here. It was a big swerve as
everyone in the arena though JBL and his cronies would ambush Angle in
the locker room.
JBL, Jordan, and Amy stroll up to what was suppose to be Amy's door but
she removes her sign to show it was Joy's so they set Angle up.
Taker beats Heidenrech and Heyman. In the middle of the match Taker
raises his hand and druids come out with 2 caskets. Heidenreich freaks
out similar to Andre's reaction to Jake's snakes. He leaves over the
barricade leaving Heyman. Paul is tombstoned and put in the coffin.
End of show.
Cameras are off when JBL comes out with Jordan and does some good mic
work on Taker saying he won't be as easy as the fat guy that bounces
checks in the casket referring of course to Heyman. They have a 2 on 1
casket match which ends with both JBL and Jordan in the casket.
Dark Match:
*After they went off the air, Undertaker defeated John Bradshaw Layfield & Orlando Jordan in a handicap Casket Match.
1) Isn't Christian Cage the same name as Christian on RAW?
2) Anyone find it annoying all these no-name people (TE winner, diva search, etc) are all over the show now? Bashams, Team Angle, Kenzo Suzuki ... have 'who cares?' written all over them.
3) How is Heidenrich being pushed when he loses every match to Taker so far?
4) JBL & Orlando Jordan has fought and lost to Taker in a handicap casket match off-air like the past 4 weeks in a row.
PS - Nice joke on Heyman by JBL. LOL
