So I do the king of the ring, I'm dominating the pack and with 4 matches left I'm 4 losses less than the second place guy. I use all my energy cards to make sure everyone is topped off then I go to school. I come back and I have lost every single match after starting the last run with only 2 losses which became 6 losses. Did everyone sandbag all their top talent until the last few rounds? I end up second place after dominating the entire thing. Am I supposed to have no life and monitor this thing 24/7, continuing to earn energy cards to keep my talent fed? What a horrible game that king of the ring.

Hit a bit of a lull in Super Rare++. Finally passed it by training up two pairs of maxed Super Rare Andres and a pair of maxed Rare divas.

Ultra Rare. It's nice to finally be there.

Yes. You definitely maximize your potentiality to win by coincidently playing exhibition and earning energy cards to toss in.

I've only played one KOTR, but got second. I maintained position by earning enough energy cards and buffs in exhibition that I was never forced to swap out my best fellas save for one or two matches.

Yup. The shit sucks. I started it before I went to bed a couple nights ago and that was a mistake. I woke up 1-9. I had to keep track of this shit all throughout the day and while I was at work. It was pretty horrible.

Heres how I'm rolling:

And with this group, I think I'm finished with this game. The King of the Ring tournament has to be babysitted for too long to get any enjoyment from it, and without the KotR, the Exhibition part of the game is no longer fun. I'll keep the game installed to see if the developers relax on the amount of time it takes to do a KotR. As the games stands now, I'm finished.
I'm hitting a massive wall in the exact same spot. I have no idea how I'm supposed to get into the UR prize tier to move ahead and even then I don't think I care enough to farm essentially from scratch again for a KOTR at the higher tier. So, yeah, I'm about done with this. Not bad for F2P, considering. Since you can earn infinite draws without any cooldowns it really doesn't "inspire" people to spend any money. I can't say I've even once thought it would make things any easier.

Yep, you either continually grind alongside or pay for the auto-top off boost. This is similar to how other CCGs run their regular events and this area is where they make most of their income.

Yeah I know that, that's why I fed all my cards a fresh set of 5 energy before their last 4 matches. I was wondering if people were benching all their talent until the end or something, not feeding them energy cards but literally benching them until the end. Because it's weird that I dominated everyone except 2 players, then suddenly lost my last 4 matches, some of them against incredibly losing records.

Yeah i know that and I did that. the last 4 matches against players that had shit records with my fully energized cards should not have gotten 4 losses unless those players with horribly losing records suddenly did something different right at the end.

You basically just have to keep leveling up your SR's and then it will bump you to UR. I haven't made it to UR yet, but I just used a ton of cards to level up some others and I went from 75% of SR+ to 50% of SR++.

And I've noticed that spending money can actually do harm.

Oh, right. If you pay and draw something incredibly high and play with it you can get thrown up into a tier that's totally out of the competitive area of your other cards. Man, so they didn't even get the "pay 2 win" aspect of paying for stuff right? Not sure if that's either really good game design or really bad.

Did they use any stat boosts? Those add 15% to a stat.

How do I pull all my cards from being "in use"? I'm done with King of the Ring and I don't want to do it again, but it still has the cards I used in the previous King of the Ring as "in use".

edit - figured it out.

Yeah I can't decide if it's good or bad. But when I see a deck with a record of like 35-20, I know that all they're gonna have is an Epic and some weak SR's

I've been wondering that myself. I know if you combine cards then they won't be "in use" anymore. I usually just switch them out with some garbage. That works too.

just won kotr got 2 super rare andres to go with my already fused super rare brock, fused rare aj,the rock and john studd. Keep getting the same super rares when draft tho, i have 3 super rare brocks,3 albertos and 4 rare aj lee.
i want super rare vince. Him and Hogan tag combo crush me every time.

I just got a SR Vince. His charisma is pretty goddamn ridiculous.

Geez. I had gotten 2 Andre's and 2 Big Shows Super Rare and leveled both to max before combining. Once combined to Pro and leveled up, they've got incredible stats. Goes with my Regular Super Rare Batista and Dolph Ziggler so now I have 2 top yellow triangles and 2 bottom yellow triangle cards. Every tag team I choose is always on bonus. It bumped me up to "Ultra Rare" and the third card I picked after the bump was an Ultra Rare Natalya to replace my Pro Rare AJ that I have had for 500+ matches now. 822-69 and it's become total domination since these last moves.

The exhibition mode is pretty addictive. It's just too bad the king of the ring sucks so bad. All that cutting into my RL time for management and I got a super rare Orton and a super rare buff card that I already had.

My first SR was Hogan and then I got Vince soon after. Together they get a tag bonus and both have really high charisma ratings.

KOTR seems like its only worth it if you can guarantee you'll make the finals and can win a matching pair. If you won't have time to spare over the next 2 days, it gets pretty hard to stay on top of things.

Trust me, I know :(
I've been on the receiving end of that duo more times than I can count.

And I think I'm only gonna do KOTR on a weekend. Start it Friday morning since I don't work on weekends.

I have two maxed out pro Super Rare Andres, an Ultra Van Dam something or other, a decent maxed pro Super Rare Nataly diva, and a maxed Rare Pro Shawn Michaels. Ultra++ is kicking my ass. I'd have to grind a few more matching Super Rare pairs to make up for my lack of Ultras to replace Michaels. And my record is going to shit in Ultra, so earning them directly is a moral loss.

I think I may be done! I've made eight Super Pro Rare pairs and the grind sucks. :/

I also leveled my Pro UR Wyatt and reached Epic Tier, and then got Cena on the first field. I guess everyone gets a free R/SR/Legendary/Epic whenever they reach that level.

Also trying to remain #2 on the KoTR which is getting more difficult, someone is catching up to me.

found another andrè SR,but that too will have to wait till the end of the KOTR..such bullshit that you can't fuse a card that it's in the tournament

I had thought that KOTR was a waste of time since I started it right away with beginner cards. Now that I'm more in control and I'm grinding Rares to fuse into Pros, I can appreciate the guaranteed Super Rares if I can qualify for the final 8. Got eliminated in the first round after qualifying, but at least I got a Super Rare Cesaro for my troubles.

And then I proceeded to draw a Super Rare McMahon and a Super Rare Andre right after. I just stick them in my backup KOTR team since they don't mesh well with the team I have so far.

But right now my Pro Rare Undertaker is leaving my Super Rares in the dust, and he's only at level 5. It's time consuming, but maxing out cards before combining them is 100% worth it.

FFS. I've gotten five Super Rare Andres. Whatever seed this game uses to generate drops is currently set to all Andre all the time for me.

I have two maxed Pro SR Andres, so I hope I get a sixth and can make a third. All Pro SR KOTR Andre run incoming.

my problem instead it's that now i only find "up" wrestlers and some "down",no left or right
it's a problem because my best card it's a pro SR del rio which is right :(

with my luck,i'll get a support card

damn..missed that.
i really hope the ultra rare i'll get for the KOTR (still halfway, but i'm second right now,i think i'll getat least to the quarters) is a andrè the giant or a jbl so that i can make my first pro UR
otherwise i'll have to stick with pro SR andrè and pro SR lesnar..not bad but nowhere near that kind of stats

Anyone got a easy to understand comprehensive list of fully levelled cards' stats to compare? The lists I've found are either unfinished or a mess. I think it'll help me choose what to put priority on.

Currently have a SR Batista, SR Brock Lesnar and a SR Andre along with the option of making a fully levelled Pro Rare Brock Lesnar and not sure which is the best option. Maybe the Pro Rare Brock and then I can always use that to level up a card later to a high level?

A fully leveled pro Rare that was created from fully leveled Rares can beat out most fully leveled Super Rares.

I currently have a fully leveled pro Rare Stone Cold (185/201/161/225) that beats out nearly all fully leveled Super Rares it has come across. I'm working on a pro Rare Ultimate Warrior which will replace one of my SRs I'm using once fully leveled.

You can get a general sense just looking at the base stats before you even upgrade any of them. When you swap a card out from your exhibition deck and sort by rating, you'll see a little number in the bottom right corner of your card list that tells you how many overall stat points the change would be, either higher or lower. So for example, in the rare tier Shawn Michaels will be listed as 3 points better than John Cena and Yokozuna, 4 points better than Mysterio and Stone Cold, etc. Who you choose to upgrade in that the top bunch will depend more on how their stats are spread out as well as their tag symbol (i.e. do you want to focus on all-arounders, or have 2 speed/charisma guys and 2 power/toughness guys, etc).

This way you can quickly see which cards are better at level 1 in a particular tier and focus on the ones at the top of that group with the higher base stats, as they should all level up at the same rate.

well,as a rule of thumb, remember that a fully leveled pro card is always stronger than a max level "non-pro" of the successive tier..that means that your fully leveled rare lesnar (2 lv 20 rare lesnar fused in a pro card and then leveling it to 25) will be stronger than any of your SR cards, even those at level max.
of course a pro SR literally devours a pro rare and it's stronger than a normal ultra rare

long story short,if you want better stats and better rank,go for the pro rare, but leveling up your super rare is good too if you are hoping to find another of the same wrestler and make a pro of that

I managed a second place finish in my first KotR. I might have been able to do better if I had got to it earlier this morning but alas, work... I did get the paired SR and got...R-Truth. Not my favorite wrestler at all but his numbers are pretty good compared to what I have (maxed rare Shawn Michaels, Dean Ambrose, Big E (who I might replace with Stone Cold), and a SR AJ. R-Truth replaced my maxed Kofi.

Decided to do another King of the Ring as it looks like I'm not getting to Ultra Rare any time soon. Probably only focus on it enough to qualify to get my Super Rare.

I finally got a pro Rare diva now with Eva Marie so at least my team is pretty balanced (save for a lack of good speed cards).

Game sure likes to give duplicates, but in the case of UR's I don't mind. So I will now have UR's Pro Wyatt and Pro Shawn Michaels, together with Epic Cena, that is a nice team that should kick me to Tier UR+ aswell. Diva is really starting to fall behind though, Pro Rare Eva Marie.

I just picked up my 4th Super Rare Batista. My SRs are now Cody Rhodes, Andre, The Big Show and 4 Batistas. Throw me a Diva or something geez.

Pro SR Batista is servicable. Just run two of him.

I did already. My point is I've only gotten 7 SRs total in ~800 games and over half the time it's fucking Drax. I want different SRs, preferably Divas, as I got a rare AJ about 300 games ago and haven't sniffed a rare of higher Diva card since.

Sure do get a lot of commons for being in a Super Rare++ bracket.

I don't even care atm about getting more SR's, I just want better cards for training. Jeez this game is overly grindy.

Now the game finally wants to give me two superares once I finally get rare pro Undertaker and Stonecold

this game is trolling me

Fully leveled Pro Rare > fully leveld SR anyways. Don't feel bad.

Other CCGs are worse if it makes you feel any better! ;)

Also, just saw this:

http://forums.2k.com/showthread.php?687551-WWE-SuperCard-FAQ

Q: What triggers my Superstar's abilities?

Abilities are triggered randomly when the Superstar is played. The chance for the ability to trigger is based on the rarity of the Superstar. Here's the current trigger percentages:

Uncommon - 15%
Rare - 17.5%
Super Rare - 20%
Ultra Rare - 25%
Epic - 30%
Legendary - 33%

Just got Epic Wyatt. Not sure why I keep getting this dude. Be it UR or Epic, same guy each time. I want a Diva.

It's hard not to get roped in by gameplay loops that constantly pat you on the back with some bar or number increasing somewhere. But when that's all a game is, it eventually starts feeling like the pointless, neverending, tedious grind that it is. Going from Common to Super Rare++ increases all of your numbers but gains you nothing. I'm glad I'm not one of the people who start spending money as the progression slows down. Instead I just stop playing. The game doesn't cost money, but it did cost me the time I spent playing this manipulative boring garbage.

Finally got to the Ultra Rare tier and the Ultra Rare card I inevitably got on my first choosing deck was a Ultra Rare support. I'm not too bothered though to be honest, as I have a few cards I'm already working on upgrading at the moment.

I just won a King of the Ring tournament and I never want to do this again. It takes way too long to finish a tourney and I'm going to get fired if I have to grind out wins at work. FML...

Yet to pull an epic. Getting nothing but rares and the SR Andre..never gonna progress at this rate.

Also man this kills my battery playing this. Might as well play it on the charger.
