I'm not even expecting a February thread. I believe WrassleGAF has committed seppuku due to lack of self-restraint and exercising proper decorum. Rumble thread will be its swan song.
 
Hey folks unless it's related to the NJPW signings, like others have said, we need to just wait for the Royal Rumble OT when it goes up in an hour.

From what I understand, the wrestling thread was locked until February because the regulars were behaving terribly, and as a result everyone seems to be using these OT threads to circumvent the thread lock.

I feel like a regular enough to be a low card guy, but Ill never be a main event star

I am going to bed but I see 33 and 1/3rd chance that someone sticks their foot in it while I sleep and the mods decide enough is enough and we get no rumble thread at all.


People need to calm down.

Or screw it. Just lock this thread to avoid any unnecessary messes and open the rumble thread a few hours before the show as planned.

I cant see any more info on this story is going to break in the next 12 hours.

Must be awful for TNA management over there, almost had their hands on some talent that could have stabilised their business for at least a few months. Only to have it slip through their fingers due to some key mistakes.

The fact they put out basically a burn notice shows how desperate its gotten over there. I wonder what NJPW think of the whole thing considering it seems they ended on good terms with all 3 wrestlers.

Nice positive outlook. I don't see why people can't just recognize they've done wrong and make a change for the better. We've got one of the better communities on GAF. It'd be a shame if fuckin' minions and 50+ year old sunny bring it down.

Its pretty funny to see TNA try and make the 3 guys seem untrustworthy when TNA itself is notorious for doing things like being scummy with paying the wrestlers and not paying medical bills for people injured in matches.



It seems pretty cut and dry that AJ and co where playing the field and in the end WWE offered a hard deal to refuse.

I mean damn. AJ Styles is old in wrestler years. I cant imagine he is going to be a long term thing for WWE and maybe in a year if he is a free agent again TNA could have kept things classy and tried again next time. Instead they just burn that bridge.


I mean its TNA....who knows what kind of state they will even be in a year but still.... It isnt smart to toss your biggest home grown star under the bus like that because you felt a bit butt hurt.

disgraceful behaviour. you'd never seem this sort of thing from the soccer, basketball or halo community.
 
Chris DeJoseph, co-executive producer of Lucha Underground and former WWE writer, was a guest on Wresting Mayhem Show 503, and he revealed how WWE came in pursuit of their entire roster and shut them down:

“They (WWE) basically tried to sign our entire roster, and pretty much tried to shut us down.”

“I think that’s what they (WWE) want to do – just take everybody, sign them into NXT and then wipe out companies. I know they tried to and have done it with TNA, and I’m sure Ring Of Honor too. It makes sense. They pay someone $750/week, put them into developmental and in the meantime, they try to take away a company’s roster. And they can just leave those guys down in NXT.”
