Canadian Destroyer! Though...it really doesn't look like a jump there, more like a backbody drop reversal. Still its pretty amazing.

This is a pretty decent sized community of hackers for this game.

There's currently a complete mod to No Mercy to change it to a TNA vs ROH game. All the characters have brand new HIGH RES skins, new moves, new arenas. You name it, they're doing it.

Once it's done I can't wait to play it.

WOW! too bad you probably need gayshark codes for anthing to be effective aki why haven't you got the WWE license no more :(

Actuall no, this is all done by hacking the ROM, so there is no actual cart.

I don't follow wrestling at all, but why haven't any next-gen games reached this game's status?

edit: I mean, the clipping if fairly atrocious in that video.

Gameplay > all

All your moves focus on the guys head? He'll start holding his head like its in major pain, start limping if you've been focusing on the legs, etc. All current gen's wrestling seem like fighters with WWE wrestlers in it. No Mercy feels like a wrestling sim.

Whoa, I can't believe how good No Mercy looks, even considering today's standards...

:lol @ that superkick though

Yeah, somebody has to get Aki on a next-gen wrestling game stat. Midway should hire them for the TNA game or something.

well to be fair the only thing still "stock" in those pics and vid is the poly mesh itself everything else has been retextured

Because No Mercy has far superior gameplay.
People liked it better than Smackdown back when, and it's not as though the SD series has changed all that much since its PSX titles. Day of Reckoning is trying to be some type of hybrid of NM and SD, which is fairly stupid since copying NM alone would be the better move. And wrestling games on the X-Box are just... yeah.

Keep in mind that nearly all of the moves, clothes, and wrestlers in that video were hacked in via Gameshark, so there are almost definitely going to be problems...

ahem ONCE AGAIN. Thiese are hacks to the ROM of the game... there is no Gameshark or a cart for that matter.

One of the projects they were working on , but never seemed to complete, wasa complete conversion to a ROH vs TNA game.

it truly speaks volumes about how great No Mercy is when there's still a dedicated community years after release modding the game and updating it through the PC.

*sigh*

If only AKI would develop a NEW game...

If No Mercy didn't slow down with 4 players at once it would've been perfect. Does the emu-version fix that?

Yeah, the slowdown is nonexistant for me on PC.

I've been having some fun modding the game today, lots of cool stuff...
plus I was able to get the SAMOAN SUBMISSION MACHINE in the game :)

I stand corrected.

Awesome stuff regardless, though.

I guess asking for the ROM of this game would be out of the question...so provided I located one, which N64 emulator is the one all of the kids are using these days?

Hey Cerrius, what emulator are you using? I've been using Project64 for about a year and a half and while the gameplay is 100% smooth and perfect, the 3D models for all wrestlers appear really bright, like they're metal or something during the character select screen and in edit mode.

During gameplay they look fine but I was wondering if anybody else had that same problem.
