but I still think Halo3 headlines would drum up more business than PD0 headlines.
 
Given the lack of "wow" at the MTV event, E3, Japanese Summit, Germany, TGS, and most recently with the Origen site, I think I'm all out of pre-show hype.
 
Halo 3 teasers at this point make no sense.

Yeah, I would love to see one, but it would so take away from all the other games they are trying to promote for the launch. Plus they need something at E3 06 to combat Sony if their launch slips to the fall (I know, you can't stop the PS3 launch hype yada yada yada.....).
 
Well if it's not at X05, then they're obviously gonna save a Halo 3 teaser for E3 which would be a bad move, coz a teaser up against the big Sony PS3 showing is not a good idea, it needs to be at E3 2006 the same caliber as Halo 2 was at E3 2003.

(If I were MS though, i'd be going for that game instead of WoW. It would be more natural for a console controller scheme, and would be disgustingly addictive over XBL, with no FEES!)

oh sorry for the misleading post: "per favore" = "please" so, yeah, dream speculation.

But it should be there at least; wasn't it shown to retailers a couple weeks ago, along with pd0, kameo and pgr3 ?
 
No disrespect meant to Xbox and its fans - but I'll be too busy playing Castlevania:Dawn of Sorrow when it ships that day to even care :P

I hear ya. October 4th is my 21st birthday, so I'll be too tanked to remember how to operate a computer. For me X05 is on October 5th.
 
i really hope a few more 06 games are revealed. stuff like shadowrun and the darkness, and whatever else is quite far along that should be out mid next year. thos games should look quite ipressive.

crackdown has been confirmed for x05, lets see more :)

Everyone stops mentioning shenmue 3, that way we'll eventually forget it even existed and won't suffer knowing it will never have sequel.

I wonder if World of Warcraft will be announced for Xbox 360 at X05. FFXI may help the Japan userbase but I think World of Warcraft would be a bigger boost for console sales in the west.
 
i wonder if anymore info about battlefield will be there. im gonna pick it up for xbox but if the 360 version comes out around launch ill grab that instead
 
I'm trying not to get my expectations for X05 up too high. Right now I don't expect anything outside of:

- News on what will make launch day and what won't (including a few heartsmashing delays)
- Direct video from near-final, playable versions of all launch games
- Announcement of the games that are on the backward-compatible list at launch

Anything else will be cake. And if any of the above things don't happen, I will be very disappointed. Halo 3 trailer or no, doesn't matter to me -- I'm much more concerned to hear about what is happening inside that launch window.

MS worked out a deal to get EA on Live. They can do the same thing for Blizzard. I don't think MS no keyboard stance is required for MMORPG games anyway.

I won't buy WoW on 360, but I want it because it'll help push many more hdds into consumers homes.

i hope not i prefer FFXI to be the only non game on the system. Besides if ppl get addicted to WoW the other software sales will go down by a large margin. :p
 
halo 2 will be the poster child for bc and likely feature an assortment of "enhancements". should be pretty cool. the killer app for live at launch ;)

Forza 2, very unlikely, too early and there is PGR3 already as a MS racer. RSC3, I'd love to be surprised but I doubt it will ever happen.

Well, they've been hard at work on that Fuzion Frenzy sequel for a couple years now. We're bound to see the fruits of those labours, not to mention Azurik 2 and Bloodwake 360.

Alright, wish list from someone who's hoping the 360 picture gets real interesting real soon.

- PGR3, GR:AW, Madden 06 and PDO playable all over the place

- SHENMUE III !!!!!! (I'd orgasm like a woman, and pre-order the system as soon as I finish)

- At least one newly unveiled game set for spring. Be it Halo 3, Forza 2, or Ninja Gaiden 2. I don't see how this is overshadowing the launch. It's simply increasing the library. Next gen really begins when we have a list of games coming after the immediate future games. Then production has really shifted over, and 360 is very tunnel visioned on launch. Show some confidence and push the next generation as a whole and your platform. There's nothing wrong with doing that.

No time for rest, I have to optimize the site as much as possible so it won't crawl too much when hundreds of people will want to get my videos ;)

Blizzard has no interest in bringing WoW to the consoles.
