X05 - Oct. 4

There is a new, BIG game to be announced.

I doubt it's Halo 3, as right now MS' limelight is there for pushing PDZero. My bet is a new Molyneux game. ;-)

Dimitri? Although I personally wouldn't call a Molyneux game a "BIG" unveiling.

I’ll be leaving for X’05 in Amsterdam tomorrow…so you guessed it…no Sunday blogcast. Tuesday night (Amsterdam time) there is a press conference, so I’ll be posting the ‘cast for that for your listening pleasure. Keep an eye on Xbox.com for more X’05 news, Photo Stories and whatever else I can get my hands on.

Blim, any clue what times this press conference is at?

I think the new Bioware IP would fit the MAJOR announcement mold, considering they've been pretty mum on their projects thus far. The little indication on their website seems to bode well for this theory.

I think that they are just going to announce Dragon Age for the 360. I would love to see a new IP, but I think that is where they are going with that on their site.

He responded to one of my threads on the Xbox 360 board a while back. I'm not an insider there anymore, but I'll try and find it. The comment definitely wasn't recent though.

"Almost two-years ago, BioWare announced that it was working on two unannounced titles, one for the Xbox and one for the PC. Since that time, while the Xbox title (Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic) has been both announced and released, the PC title has remained somewhat of a mystery. This morning though, while doing our usual checking-up on the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) reveals a possible name for BioWare's mysterious PC title. Specifically, the USPTO database shows that BioWare filed for the game name "Star Citadel" on March 11th, 2004. Of course, while the name hasnÂ’t yet been confirmed, weÂ’ll keep you posted should further news surface."

Sorry man, I have no idea what it is. I'm going through my post list, but I can't see any of the threads cause I am no longer an Insider.

What was your username at Insider? And do you remember what you specifically asked in your thread so I can narrow the search?

Yes I do, but due to an NDA I don't feel like getting my ass sued by MS. "Chris" is the test lead on the project at MS and he would beat me like a 2 bit whore if i said anything. Only the information that has been released to the public, its a Sci-Fi rpg using the unreal engine 3 tech.

Thanks man!

XO5 will be the last chance to publicly show off 360 launch games , heck in another 2 weeks or maybe less, reviewable copies of launch games will be going around to make print mags coming at or near the 22nd of november.

I'm thinking MS is likely going a bit lenient on 360 launch games product approval, perhaps allowing companies to submit an 80% finished game to MS approval and keep going at the game to finish it in the meantime ? I've heard people throw out 7-8 weeks before a luanch date has the final time for a game to go gold, becuase it gets submitted for approval which takes a week or 2 and is subjected to a couple weeks final beta testing and has to go into production a good 3 weeks to a month prior to release date in order to get copies in stores for that day.

So if november 22nd is the big day then November 1st is probally the absolute latest time to get a game into production tthat's meant to be on store shelves with the system. Which means that this coming friday the 7th or possibly has late as monday the 10th is like deadline zone for getting a game to go gold.

Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Dead or Alive 4, Call of Duty 2, Quake 4, Gun, Madden 2006, Tiger woods 2006, NBA 2K6, NBA live 2006, NFS most wanted, Amped 3, Top Spin 2, Test Drive unlimited. Tony Hawk 7... these are all games that should be 90-99 % done on that show floor. 15 games at launch... with I'd say 10 of those prettywell confirmed at this point. I guess we'll see.

* head spins off*

2 more days!!

- I think Microsoft should announce Halo 3 next year... around the time PS3 news starts to roll out.

- Microsoft should secure splinter cell 4 exclusively and have it as a counter to Konami's MGS 4.

- if Shenmue 3 is "really" coming... i dont expect to hear about it until like this time next year or e3 2006 at the earliest. I was kind of hoping that online shenmue would be developed for the 360 to strengthen the list of MMO titles coming to the 360.

- Banjo & Kazooie & Killer Instinct at X05 will strengthen the lineup of first party titles for MS. Microsoft needs more platformers and having another fighting game couldnt hurt.

- what is shadowrun?

X05 is definitely going to be interesting... here's hoping rallisport challenge 3 / crimson skies 2 trailers are shown.

...

what ever happened to that fuzion frenzy sequel?

probably canned

I think its gone for good, if they were really serious about this franchise they would have brought out that second one on XBOX.

Wiki entry

Shadowrun is a cyberpunk-fantasy cross-genre role-playing game, set in the year 2050, following a great cataclysm that has brought use of magic back to the world, just as it begins to embrace the marvels (and dangers) of technologies such as cyberspace - the everpresent computer networks, genetic engineering, and the merger of man and machine called cyberware.

It had SNES/Genesis versions.

I think the new Shadowrun will be cool, even though it is going to be a little different than previous games.

I look forward to the Deus Ex style game.

For some crazy reason I thought this was next weekend. :lol

It's gonna be tough to focus on work, and it's our fiscal quarter-end crunch week. *cries*

Cool! Are they picking you up, you know how to get there? I'll be there sometime later, first finishing the day's work I guess.

I'm getting quite excited about this now (not because of the shopping windows. Well a bit).

Finally more launch details (games etc.) . Hopefully one or two new games announced. And finally we'll get to see how the games really look.

I'm also looking forward to Kameo, which went from a no to my most anticipated 360 game over the last couple of weeks.

I guess the chances of these games being announced are slim to none.

wellp... BRING ON PERFECT DARK ZERO and more ridge racer 6... damn namco... build some hype for this game!

You land at Schiphol, take the train to Amsterdam Central Station, then the hotel is right in front of you I guess! :)

Outside of the conference on the 4th there is just the party I guess, I hope we get to play at that party, but I don't know for sure. I hope so otherwhilse all I see is the inside of meeting rooms without touching a controller the day after when the actual show is on.
