Nah... 250 dollars for Revolution is far too close to 300 dollars for X360. Rev should be 200 dollars.

You say that like it wouldn't be a total ripoff (~$450 USD). I guess its not too bad though, I am not looking forward to an $700 AUD (~$540 USD) X360/PS3

I doubt it. They just wont sell much. Not even many fans will pay that much. After the first two weeks of launch of the original xbox no one really brought one.

549 SFr = 346 euros = 240£

yeah. Better sell it at correct price right from the start, not dropping the price quickly and then sending expensive "we are sorry" gift packages like the last time. :lol Xbox1 went from ~500 euros to ~330-350e in one month.

The Xbox cost £300,i waited nine months paid £170.
£250 is still quite a bit of money tho.

I dunno, I think the added functionality over GameCube (DVD playback, WiFi internet, 512MB Flash, SD support, unique controller/interface) will warrant a slight premium over their last pricing model. Similar to DS over GBA.

I really think $249.99 is most likely, but I could still see $199.99. Similarly, I could see $399.99 or $299.99 for PS3. 360 is locked at $299.99 though imo.

I still remember the XBox launch in Germany (March 14th 2002):
The suggested retail price was €479 and Media Markt (the biggest German electronic outlet) sold it for €399 on lauch day.
IIRC, the price dropped to €299 before the end of the year.
Meanwhile, the Gamecube was released for €199 in May and outsold the XBox for quite some time, until the holiday season came without a must-buy title

My speculation:
I guess they'll release it for €399 / £249 and drop it to €299 / £199 a few months before the PS3 lauch (Nov 06 ?!). In the US, I predict a $299 price, mainly because Sony might drop the PS2 to $99 and I don't see the European price going below €129. It all boils down to America still being the most important market so this is where the price battles take place.
