1up indicates that FFXI will be at ZeroHour for playtesting; Any new news of beta testing the game? If memories serves me, I believe it was mentioned that beta will go up at the launch of the Japanese release.

The JPN realse has it pre-installed on the HDD if I'm not mistaken.

No word on a US beta as far as I know. =(

I wonder if this is what is taking up 5 facking gigs on the Xbox 360 hdd. Perhaps FFXI is installed on the drive but you can't access it yet. 5 gigs FFXI + 2 GIGS scratch data = 7 GIGS gone.

Hmm interesting...interesting indeed. I'm guessing there's no way to dig around the hd in the x360 interface eh?

Dedicated cache partitions for game titles.

Xbox had them as well, but no one noticed because the only displayed info about HDD space was "over 50,000 blocks left."
