X360 Splinter Cell 4 developed by Ubisoft Shanghai

Out of curiosity, why did people find Pandora's single-player to be so bad? I really liked it; even more than the first game. The levels had a lot more locational variety (Indonesian jungle, train, France, etc.), there were a lot more alternate routes through levels, and so on.

Well the single player wasn't horrible, but it felt like a mission pack of the first game with none of the problems corrected.

As for the name giving things away, we'll probably know in the beginning anyway. The whole setup seems like a plan made between Sam and Lambert anyway.

I agree. The thing I hated was that the game wrapped up too fast and had an abrupt ending. Otherwise, it is the second best behind CT. First one is not all that spectacular.

I doubt it personally. I think SC4 will be it for current gen.

SC5 will be out for at least the PS2. Publishers feel like they left too much money on the table by abandoning the PSone and it went to go on to sell 30 million more units after the PS2 was released. PS2 will probably sell more than that after the PS3 is out.

Yeah, i never saw what was so bad about PT....i really liked it, more so than the first one really.... and when CT came out, i was sad that the little wall jump thing was gone :(

but then again i LOVE splinter cell...its second only to Zelda in my favorite games of all time :P ...i will be buying the xbox and the xbox 360 versions im sure, if the xbox one has something the 360 one doesnt ...bastards !

Here let me quote it again because a lot of people seem to be confused:
The Montreal studio is making the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PSP versions of Splinter Cell 4 while the PC and Xbox 360 versions are being made in Ubisoft’s Shanghai studio.
Unless UbiSoft is bat shit insane and has the cash to fork out for two different versions of Splinter Cell for no good reason, you can hedge a safe bet that Shanghai's work has probably more to do with only porting the game over to the most powerful platforms instead of any actual game design. We might see some extras at best but I hardly think Shanghai is going to introduce anything radical considering the deadline. You Pandora Tomorrow haters can sleep well at night, your baby is being handled by Montreal with a minor assist from Shanghai. Hopefully the X360 and PC versions will look next-gen. Hopefully…

Well, the Game Informer article says that the 360 and PC version is the lead version, with the others being ports. I tend to believe a ten-page in-depth article over a news blurb

This is not what Game Informer states. They say Shanghai is developing the game (360, PC), and then Montreal is porting down what fits into the current gen version.

I apologize, I must have missed the post saying so. I'm the confused one! :lol

Well the news sucks, now I understand why you guys are up in arms. I'm hoping this is because Montreal is working on the true next-gen Splinter Cell for 2007 while helping with the downgraded ports for SC4. I'd be completely happy with that.

Don't worry too much; apparently lots of members have been switched between the two teams, so the Shanghai team of today might be the Montreal team of old.
