Shamelessly stolen from OA.
It looks nice.

Every person that get one will make a gameing card, correct, i saw that today in the new EGM. So why have it save on the controler besides the hardrive. Think about it.
You go to your friends house to play madden, but you want to keep your scores so instead of having to type it in it would be with your controller. Cuz they say you have to hit that button on the system for your controller to work.
put a small memory chip that would just save your gamername and some stats and download them to your hd when you get home. Then there would be no need for memory cards!

The 360 controller really isn't that great imo. it's basically a white, wireless current-gen-xbox controller S (which I really like). But still, no innovation.

uh... that really isn't an innovative controller. it's just a button that activates innovative services, the controller itself is nothing special.GhaleonEB said:See the button in the middle? You can turn the system on and off with it. It also pulls up the Media Center and Live interface any time you hit it - during games, movies, music, etc. Instant interface to user profile, friends list and everything else. I'd call that pretty innovative.

Innovation through acquisition is the Microsoft Way!GhaleonEB said:Don't need to innovate, when you simply acquire. (I still thing it's innovative.)

It's a feature. Built into the controller. For the first time ever. But it doesn't count......
I think the controller is model of elegance and design. If it is half as comfortable as it looks and people say it is, then it very well may replace the Sega six-button as my favorite controller ever.
Don't need to innovate, when you simply perfect. (I still thing it's innovative.)

JayFro said:They had a great controller already and now with the black and white buttons becoming shoulder buttons this thing is perfect. Not only that but the color looks pretty sweet and is totally growing on me as well, did I mention how sweet it will be to power down my Xbox by using the controller? Yeah, that's pretty f'n sweet!
Pedigree Chum said:On top of that they supposedly thinned out the handles (making it more comfortable). Man, I can't wait to try that controller.
JayFro said:I think I better get a pre-order for this thing, I agree with both you and Duce. If the design of the controller is great already why not just tweak it to perfect it and stick with it? Innovation? I don't want a completely different controller when we already have something about as close to perfect as it gets.
Pedigree Chum said:The only thing I wish MS changed, and this is a minor quibble, is the buttons to something similar to the look and feel of the DS2's. Sad thing is that they were going to (you can easily see better buttons in the X360 reveal video), but they decided to stick with the original jewel buttons for some odd reason :/
Jagernaut said:I definitely agree. Has anyone who has held the X360 controller commented on the buttons? The jewel buttons on the Xbox type S controller were so hard that my thumb hurt after playing with it for an hour. They should use a softer material for the buttons on the new controller.
