I just like the word "bone", and find it to be a hilarious word to end up in the name of a games console. People saying it's become popular because LOL DICKS have a rubbish sense of humour.

Bone is just a ridiculous name for a console, that's why I found it funny. And people didn't even have to try. The first time I saw a thread title with XBONE in it, I automatically read it as Ex-Bone.

Console wars are serious business. :lol Xbot and M$ were terms that became fighting words. And became banned as a result. You already just need to go into threads to see the camps fighting each other. Anything that spreads gasoline onto the fire doesn't have much of a future (which is unfortunate, cause it is a great abbreviation).

The problem with XO and X1 is that they don't sound natural, and they're not immediately clear how to say them. 'ecks-oh'? 'cross zero?' 'eleven?'

I think the easier with most sticking power is Xbone and maybe XB1.
