yup, that's probably true too.
 
some of you act like you're gonna drive your videogame consoles around and pick up chicks in them. Who cares if its good looking or not. It looks like a piece of A/V equipment. Once you stick it in your home theatre or under your TV you're probably never gonna look at it again.

:lol Well, it was done just for the sake of reference. Console case designs are usually pretty lame, just like the names they have. After a while, it doesn't much matter, anyway.

I actually like the design. Can't wait to see what it looks like in person.

On another note, you think the current environment on Xbox Live is bad. This new webcam will make things even worse...Quote me on it.
 
Uhm...i don't think it's bad, it's probably like the i-pod; you can't see what's special about it until you see it in real life.
Also. i doubt you can judge its size from one picture; every time we buy a new console after seeing its pictures on internet and magazines for months, it always manages to surprise us how different in size they are from what we were imagining.

X360 will probably be a case of "what ? i was thinking it would be bigger/much bigger"
 
Can't wait for the PS3 reveal. If history has taught us anything it's that Sony can't quite seem to get the design of a console right the first time.
 
I was expecting a really refined design with the XBOX360, being that Msft had alot more time to think things through this generation. The console still looks like its not final. Maybe things get too hot inside, hopefully its not as big as it looks.

If the design gets a lackluster response at E3, I wouldn't put it past MSFT to do a quick redesign.
 
To have the right scale you need to make the disk tray of the old Xbox the same size as the disk tray of the new one.

EDIT: nevermind Dav got it right.

That's what I did: the width of the tray opening. Keep in mind that the tray thickness could be different. The only constant we can hope to rely on is the width of the tray.

I think the one Dav posted is too big cause the width of the tray is a bit bigger on the 360 than XBox.
 
I don't like it. Design is boring and even more unrememberable than the first Microsoft xbox.

They're about the same in length,but I doubt the weigh the same,which is my main complaint with the first one,it's a bitch to pack around :lol

I'm surprised so many people hate the look of it.....you guys are messed. It's definitely one of the best looking consoles to date.

And Sony did get their design right. Its the build quality that has issues.

Oh and it's not very good looking, but I don't care, and who the hell criticizes a REMOTE for it's looks, it's a remote

It probably happened. Although maybe not, something tells me it might have been easier to snap pics of stuff people weren't constantly looking at (like games)..although if they were being shown on various screens around the venue, I think it HAD to have happened.

I think the Xbox360 looks freaking sweet. And I was right when I posted a couple of weeks ago that I guessed the concaved shape was so that it could fit on top of the Xbox.
