That, or Sony could do something else for me. Make the X button green. The square blue. The circle can stay red. Lastly, make the triangle button yellow. All they have to do next is provide a nice adapter so I can plug in my Xbox 360 controller.
Agreed. And why does it only have 3 shoulder buttons, one being smaller than the other? And why have an octagon around the analog sticks? It just hinders the smoothness. The GC controller design has always puzzled me. It's made with good, long lasting material, but the buttons are shit. I just look at the GC controller as a very desperate attempt to be different.Odysseus said:Smallest. Dpad. Ever.

The shape is awesome. Just a tick below the Mako64 IMO. I think the best pad would by assymetrical like that, but lefties would have a shitfit. HOWEVER, the button layout is easily the most retarded thing in the world that almost knocks off all the positive points. What few positive that are left are completely nullified by the idiotic C-stick. So the Wavebird is an incredible controller hamstrung by the dumbest layout known to man. Did I mention the Z-button is useless? What a travesty. PEACE.John Harker said:<---------- Best. Controller. Ever.![]()

Anyway, it's called preferring the Controller S and seeing that the 360 controller changes little about it other than moving the B/W buttons to the shoulders. I'll take the S over any other controller any day of the week. It's just as comfortable as the GameCube and just as functional as DS2.
If you want a great controller, you can't beat the Dual Shock.

WordAssassin said:Why is there such hate for the C-Stick? I do not understand this. Why is there not similar hate for the second joystick on the Xbox pad? Or for the TWO joysticks on the Dual Shock 2? Is it just because it's a different shape? It still works exactly the same as the main joystick. What gives, guys? I'm seriously interested in knowing why people think the C-Stick is so bad.
Ramirez said:The C-Stick is worthless, there is no arguing that, and I say the Z and D-pads are useless too,the D-Pad is ridiculously small and the Z button is just so hard and feels unresponsive, meh.

If so could you please PM me. Thanks in advance.

As mentioned, it's too small and unresponsive. I forgot about the d-pad sucking too. I have never had to use it though, so I can't complain too much. The GC controller gets me so conflicted. I want to pat someone on the back for the comfortable ergonomics, but I want to punch someone in the face for everything else about it.WordAssassin said:Why is there such hate for the C-Stick? IMO, the perfect controller would combine the shape of the GC's controller with the button placement of the PS2's pad (ie 4 shoulder buttons and 2x2 face with same spacing and feel), and the analog sticks from the Xbox. Oh, and maybe take the d-pad from the old Saturn 6-button controller. None of the d-pads this gen are worth a damn. Nintendo pisses me off, b/c it's their retarded patent that's the reason for the shitty Sony d-pad. For what they had to work with, the Sony d-pad actually ended up being the best one this gen. That's kinda embarassing considering it was a major bitching point in the 32bit era. PEACE.

agreed. those analog sticks are just shit. i hate the domed slippery tops and the placement.Ramirez said:DS has the absolute worst analog sticks ever, and give me actual trigger buttons over the L1,L2,R1,R2 any day,it's far from perfect.
