Whenever a new console is launched, it's not unusual to see it followed by a drought - specifically a lack of good games (or even games at all). This is one aspect that could potentially scare me from picking up a 360 right now.

So will this happen with Xbox 360? I haven't been keeping up with release dates, can I expect a steady stream of reasonably good 360 games during the upcoming months? And when are the really big, announced games coming out?

Considering some big name games got pushed back (DOA4, Oblivion), I think you'll have enough to do in the meantime... expect it to be slow during the usual months (late spring into summer) but E3 will probably reveal a lot of good stuff coming down the pipeline.

Splinter Cell Double Agent and Oblivion are due out in March, so I would say no.

GRAW is due out around then as well.

Yes, as far as I know there's nothing coming out in January... and if there is, then it's LATE January. After that, smooth sailing.

We've got Oblivion, Full Auto, Dead Rising, GRAW, Fight Night, Splinter Cell 4 and some others, all running straight into E3, which will open the floodgates for PS3 and X360 no doubt.

IMO there's quite a few nteresting games upcoming in the next few months. Full Auto, Dead or Alive 4, Elder Scrolls 4, Dead Rising, Ghost Recon AW, Top Spin 2, Splinter Cell 4, etc. I'm also interested in Tomb Raider Legends and Burnout Revenge, and some XBL Arcade titles like Hoop World and Robo Blitz.

Yeah those XBL arcade titles are well worth looking into. Think of them as PSP or DS games on the big screen if that helps.
