Xbox 360 Wireless Controller + Play & Charge Cable + WinXP PC = Failure?

tried the drivers from here without success

that's what i said, but some people including a certain person that works for activison said otherwise...

now i'm calling them out!

i mean the fact that it's actually detected as a device when you plug the cable into the controller should mean something...

Would've made sense, but it just doesn't work. The cable ONLY charges, and nothing else. In fact when you're hooked to the 360 and "playing while charging", the controller is still transmitting wirelessly.

The P stands for play, meaning you can play as you charge, just like the Nintendo DS. However, I thought only wired controllers worked on the PC.
